I am now using the PC standalone version.

I don't see a melody generator on the PC version either, is that disabled in the demo?

no, the melody generator is not found in the demo version. I want to add it later with usage restrictions because it is too usable ;)
It is only available in the full version.

Darn, the melody generator is the only thing I really care about, but I can't test it out.

Yes, I am afraid the melody generator is disabled in the demo version.
Probably later it will be included with some restrictions.
Until then you can watch Chris Caulder's excellent video about its usage:

Earlier in this thread I've complained about a severe show stopper bug in Rapid Composer.
Attila has now fixed the crash problem with my sound card.

Thumbs up for that. :tu:

Bump....to get it nearer to the top for anyone new to Rapid Composer.

Happy Musiking!

Realistically, including the full melody generator in the program would be giving away one of the programs most elegant features, as someone could use it to just record out the midi and never bother to buy the program.

I am perhaps too cynical, but if I were Attila (and maybe this is already the way it is?) I would not have any midi out but simply let people demo with a reasonable bank of soundfonts. Even if you cannot save or export a file, it is pretty easy to record midi out.

Even with this 'crippling, soundfonts could fully demonstrate what the program can do ... which is all that a demo needs do in my opinion.
Help! I've fallen up and can't get down!

downloaded.. haven't checked it out yet though. wondering how it'll fit into my work flow. i guess fairly obvious answer to that is as an idea generator.. also could help w/making sure i don't f-up the theory too much.. i know zero music theory other than "that doesn't quite sound right".

anyway.. i'll get into it soon. :)

Purchased this during the December sale after watching Chris' tutorials.

Had downloaded the demo earlier this year, and just got lost in it. The tutorials are a great help and show how inspiring this can be. Nice job.

Two more videos up at my channel-

Covering the Chord Rules Editor / Suggestions, and then Harmonize Melody.

Hope this helps, gang! Still working on getting the wiki manual finished at the site... lots of work
