Thank you for tuning your tablas to C.

I'm a little disoriented by all the content I bought yesterday. :drunk:

Is there going to be an upgrade path for 2.5 customers? Just bought the studio bundle...

Yes, obviously, its covered some pages back, details not ready yet,...

I wonder, this time, if IK have considered that the code for ST3 need to
be written, and mastered, so that conversion to a new OS-platform, (like
128 bit f.eks.), is possible quickly, and not dead-ending thousand of us
another time, once again,...

I look forward being able to use my total-bundle in current system !

I am in love with this thing.

I'm sitting here listening to Yota Kitagami's RPG Maker soundtrack because I want to absorb all of his production techniques.

There are some synth lead sounds he's using that sound amazing, and I'll have to dig through my libraries to find them now.

I really like the Staccato + Legato string combi in Miroslav too. Sounds like a better version of what was on my Roland.

I like how it can sound reasonably close to a Sound Canvas, but without any of the cheesiness.

Thanks for the kind words!

@Peter - IK Multimedia To answer IK's tweet:
"Who is the drummer from this #SampleTank3 set? Famous for having played with Sting, Madonna & recently w/ Daft Punk pic.twitter.com/9cIb96dLD5"

That sounds a lot like one of my favorite drummers of all time, Omar Hakim. Omar's ability to create incredible grooves blows me away. I love his feel, in multiple genres, from rock to pop to jazz, there's a magic to that man's playing.

Looking forward to Sampletank 3! And also, a thumbs up to Peter - IK Multimedia. He's a great guy, a valuable member of KVR and, last, but not least, super funny.

I think I have the same taste in drummers as Sting does... I can count among some of my faves Omar Hakim, Manu Katché, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Abe Laboriel Jr. ... I'll have to see what their rates are post-Sting ;) I had heard that Abe had received the call from Sting to tour again after having already been hired by Paul McCartney (life's full of tough choices) and the others are super accomplished so I'm pretty sure they are out of my league and budget. So back to getting at least one of these guys virtually in SampleTank 3!

Also, thanks for the kind words. I appreciate them.

Peter,

I just bought the Total Studio 3 package. With SampleTank 3 coming out in 50+ days, would it be better for me to cancel this order? Or order it again in a few weeks to opt in to any type of possible upgrade to the new system?

I don't want to have to pay back-to-back expenses for the system if possible ... especially being so close to an upgrade.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Brandon

SampleTank 3 will not include the massive amount of sample content from the Total Studio bundle (it will have new sounds that are incredible) nor will it have AmpliTube and T-RackS. For this price, though, you get all of that while the sample libraries you have will work with SampleTank 3, and there will be upgrade options too. To me, this is a no-brainer and is one of the best deals we've ever had especially leading into SampleTank 3 which will add a ton more amazing finely-crafted sounds and will be quite the reasonable upgrade from what I've been told.
