ill keep this in my mind even when i import/edit my phrases.

Now where we're together here in the "club" with the usual suspects, we need a fusion of RC and the "other" program. HiHi

ok here is the serious part
still i get crashes with save progression from timeline .
if it helps i can send the exact project. i am trying to save 16 bars long progression part from time line it crashes no matter i tried .
1. save to browser and try to open in prog. editor = crash
2. save to browser see there , do not open just restart RC..
but after closing RC, Windows gives message RC x64 exe stopped working...
run RC again progression gone.

3. just for the test i switched Audio from Asio4all to Windows MME
same project, same length, same progression, saved, it was in the browser
restarted RC with no problem but progression was gone again.

last thing that maybe i should mention this at the beginning
there is always two "New" category when i try to save with this way.

i don't think its relevant to 2 "New" categories because i removed old one
now just one "New" , but still crashing.

i was trying to get familiar with how to build sections
according to video tutorial 8
plus with copy parts and replace some phrases
it was going really easy and great,

saved and exported wave.
then i decided continue to work / replace sounds
in the Vst version but RC Vst said
"Open Error, Invalid composition file"

then tried to open in standalone again
but now
i get same error message in standalone,on every try.

Are you using the latest version (v2.52)?
Because most of these problems were fixed recently (saving progression from timeline, 2 New groups, crashing at quitting - it was quite a serious bug).

2.52 yes,
i installed over old one
should i do some cleaning? uninstall and clean regedit etc.?
also about two identical Category issue,
when i save from progression editor to one of my custom categories i get same result
after restarting RC duplicated category goes away
and progression goes to the right place.

i just sent two projects

1 dead one,
2 problematic progression.

BTW
i just found the way to reproduce that gui minimize issue at the opening on two monitors.
if i move to the second/right one and close the RC here ,
next start comes with minimized gui with no exception.

personally i don't care that much anymore.
just thought might be useful info.

Hi yellukhan,

thank you for the composition files that you sent, I managed to fix both problems! I could reproduce the category issue and the crashing when saving long progressions. And I know why your composition could not be loaded. I fixed that bug as well.
I even implemented 'Open Chords In Progression Editor' that you requested some days ago.
New bug fix update will be available in the next 2-3 days.

Fast / Great News!

definitely i should give you a break but i couldn't resist
to write this while hot to me
i just realized we have nice feature:
preview through defined track in the arrangement,
but currently seems it needs to restart RC after adding new tracks to see in the browser's preview/select destination menu,
seems browser doesn't refresh the track list till restart the RC.
plus when you close the arrangement you still see there all tracks from old
arrangement and if you try to preview one of them RC crashes.

a tiny one (i guess),

Triple Variation in the tack,
seems adding 2x Triple to ghost phrases.
if i am not mistaken.
now i going to Feature Request page

Swing + double phrase + Mirror Horizontal seems has same issue also.

Hi Attila,
here's an update about the use of RapidComposer as a VST in Cubase.
I upgraded to Cubase7.5 yesterday and also to RC 2.53 when it came out.
Tried it again and voilá, it works.
There's currently only one issue: all the first notes (that are one the very first downbeat) are not played, only the notes that are coming later (hope it's understandable). But that seems to be an issue that other midi-plugins in Cubase also have. The workaround is to start with the second bar and when using a loop to move the loop points a little to the left, so that the playhead jumps back to a point slightly before the downbeat.

Hi Max,

thank you very much for your post. This confirms my suspicion that maybe Cubase had a rare issue with VST plug-ins that had multiple MIDI outputs.
On the other hand in another thread maubusy reported that RC 2.53 is still crashing in Cubase 7.5.

Max, do you use the 64-bit version on PC?

I am sure there will be a fix for the 'first notes not playing' problem in a few days.
