A quick example of some of my presets. Not sure if these ones actually made it on the release, if not, probably in an expansion. Battery3 was used for the drums.
Very nice!

great synth; deep, dense sound. this one may become my fave tone2 plugin (i do use electrax a lot). glad it's out!

I also made a handful of presets for Nemesis and the lack of a traditional filter section was something I reacted on early in the beta stage. But later as I was working with it I sort of started to appreciate it. Weirdly enough. It makes you think in a different way which - for me - was quite inspirational. A highly personal reflection, of course. The only thing I missed was more controls in the effect section - that part is damn damn damn brilliant, and left me wanting more.

Got to say that promo video was the best marketing production I have seen yet on any Virtual Instrument...

Kudos... To the team..

So I've been playing with the demo for a while now, and I'm getting some pretty interesting sounds out of Nemesis so far. It's also pretty weighty in the bass department which is sweet.

I like the layout too, along with its sound. So this is a buy from me... :)

That said, I'm a tad biased towards Tone2, and I really do like pretty much all their synths so far. I have them all, except for Firebird, and that's only because it never came out on the mac.

I can see why some people think their presets sound a bit 'too polished', but that's just Tone2's style. I guess you either like it or don't - So that's fair enough...

But I think it's great if you're a preset user. It means that you're pretty much ready to roll with the minimum of fuss.

Personally tho', I like trying to come up with stuff from scratch, and their synths are great for that too, they are just so easy to tweak and modulate.

Just my tuppence worth. :)

Yeah, I'm really torn on this synth. The methods of synthesis and it's peculiar approach really speak to me. I think the key to avoiding the more unpleasant/artifacted sounds lies in learning which waveforms work well with which algos. (Luckily most of the waveforms are well named which makes that easier!)

On the other hand, many of the sounds remind me of stuff I've made in Rayblaster, only Rayblaster can be much more silky and the textures feel easy to control and reign in. They say Nemesis is easier to program than a typical FM synth - I'm no FM wiz but I'm finding that not to be true. In part because there's some really unique and unusual synthesis going on, and there's a LOT to learn.

If only the price were a little lower... It would be easier to make up my mind. Especially torn between this and the new PPG synth.

Kudos to Tone2 for pushing the envelope, though, and thinking outside the box!

I like that kind of thing a lot. Hope to find some time to spend with Nemesis soon!

I own and really like Saurus but am struggling to justify AUD$244 for this synth..

Yeah...if you look at the US price and then do a conversion, we're being rorted once again.

It's VAT for me that is always the Killer.... 23% in rip off Ireland! :(

I think without 'the VAT thing' the synth is reasonably priced (like most of the quality soft synths out there). Nothing much a company can do about it unfortunately.

I still bit the bullet and bought it tho'. :)

Decided to pick it up. The raw chiptune clean-out-earwax-with-sound-waves part of me couldn't hold out. What the responsible, logical part of me wants to know now is, when will this end? :help:

Out of curiosity I clicked the "buy" logo and was greeted with the price...dear lord! I literally did a double-take. I don't think Tone2 has been keeping up with monitoring the price of the competition. This is a USD99-129 synth maximum.

No thanks.
