EffortlessPiano because making music should be for everyone.

Load a MIDI file and EffortlessPiano will make sure you play the right notes. You can enjoy the freedom to give your own personal musical interpretation. Input via a MIDI keyboard OR computer keyboard. You control when the notes are played-how quickly or slowly and how loud or soft they are - these are the elements that make any performance unique. EffortlessPiano looks after playing the right notes. A video is worth a thousand words - head over to http://effortlesspiano.com (http://effortlesspiano.com).

Programmers can you help?

This little program demonstrates my idea. If you want to be involved in making music more easily available to everyone please get in touch.

How do these two statements possibly agree with each other? What do you possibly MEAN by 'the right notes', a machine decides for you a safe note? By what idea? What is possibly personal about having that choice taken away from you? You've had something enforced through an algorithm, and through what musical context? Why should 'music making' be 'for everyone'? Why is every person entitled to that; evidently you have in mind people with no competence being ensured they can't have a 'wrong note'. This is the opposite of creative action.

Playing a piece of classical music on a piano- the first step is to play the right notes. Real performance doesn't start until you can play the right notes. Many people do not get past this stage. My little program simplifies this first step. Listen to a performance you like - get it in your head and using your keyboard and my program see what you can do.
Thanks
