That content manager does look cool. But unless you're tight on space, wouldn't you just want it installed? I dunno though, I'd like to ditch out some garbage in live that you can't do really easily.

I would be curious to know what you think, at this point, BW would lack of in his first iteration.TheoM wrote:Was waiting for Bitwig, excitedly, but it's far below my needs in it's current form. Maybe by version 3
Forgive my laziness, I know the answer is somewhere but this thread is sooo long...

Id just hope it keeps you notified if/when there are updates. Thats one thing live is sorely lackinghibidy wrote:That content manager does look cool. Dude, Theo couldn't make shit in BITWIG STUDIO. All he could do is scream into the mic and pound on a bongo and then BITWIG STUDIO would distort it and make it sound like korn. Let's look at this puny feature-list:iU wrote:I would be curious to know what you think, at this point, BW would lack of in his first iteration.TheoM wrote:Was waiting for Bitwig, excitedly, but it's far below my needs in it's current form. multi-track recording. trash anything can do that duh.
arranger clip launcer. also trash cuz project 5 had it first.
mixer clip launcher. live ripoff!
hybrid tracks. reapers had this since like version 0 duh.
clip automation. blah. yuck. trash.
instrument clips. blah. loser.
audio clips. blah. hate it don't want don't need it beat it.
layered editing. totally not revolutionary and also trash duh.
bounce and slice. even pro tools has this yikes.
world-class sound devices. world-class my ass.
unified modulation system. sooo amateur.
32 bit/64 bit VST support. BLAH BLAH BLAH.
meta-data based browser. uggh gross.
open multiple documents. if reaper has it then it's useless.
multi-monitor support. live has had this for a very long time. JESUS.
advanced controller support. more like basic i hate it i hate it.
The solution is obviously to buy a high-end pro-tools system and work with some fly pop/rnb/dance/dubstep DIVAS. And then play some DIVA synth in the background and rock out. Bro-Fist.

If you don't mind asking, how much direct it becomes interacting with bitwig? From videos it looks like you can do a lot without your mouse, and one of the things I am really looking forward is to get that hands on feeling you get when you pick a guitar or even a HW synth, that let you do music instantaneously. Mouse and music just get a inverse proportion rate, the more one is the less is the other...ThomasHelzle wrote:
I'm eyeing the Nectar P6 myself. Claes showed me at the party how it works and it's really awesome with the big colour display where you really see what you do in Bitwig and can do real deep editing remotely. I'm not 100% convinced of the keys (I seem to have a weird taste with keyboards - I only ever liked one, the Doepfer LMK 3 1.0 LOL) but otherwise it's quite tasty and seems perfectly connected with BWS.
Cheers,
Tom
BTW can you tell anything about the integration with Launchpad and/or SLmk2 (a novation master keyboard) ???
Really looking for that!
