name one
Plese see my previous post...

Also

latest 6.5x update: 6.5.5 Released July 2013
latest 6.0x update: 6.0.7 Released July 2012

enough said....
Alas, it isn't enough said

How do you know that the bugs fixed in that last updated were not fixing problems that were only created by the new features in 6.5? Seeing as you can't name one you clearly don't

So basically name one or quite with the baseless assertions
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

The fact that they catered for V6.5 for one full year more than V6.0 speaks for itself.

I got an answer by the support regarding my questions, since I'm still being ignored in here.

I'd like to forward them so everyone can benefit:

Q1) When is a Trial Version due?
A1) A trial version is planned for end of January/Early Februrary (probably without the need of an USB Elicenser)

Q2) Will the Instrument Rack be dropped eventually?
A2) Since the VST rack was also updated, we can't go by that (yet)

Q3) Update of Cubase AI/LE/Elements / Backwards Compatibility?
A3) I can't give any statement about that yet (note: also no further info)

Q4) Insert Handling (that crazy overlay thing)
A4) There are no rudimentary changes in Cubase (in other words: still existing)

Q5) What about the feature requests?
A5) The teams regarding FR reimplementation and creating new features are separate. Of course they will be looked at and some are also ported. Naturally if those requests that weren't ported yet that stand out the most.

Q6) Changes in/ Fixes with the ASIO engine
A6) In the works - also thanks to you (Compyfox) - no ETA

Regarding the ASIO engine:
I was once more assured that there are no significant(!) changes regarding the ASIO engine in 7.5, and I was hinted at that it might not be fixed within the 7.5 cycle. So please take note of that.

The current pricing politics won't change either for the time being. But I think certain buttons were pressed.

The update history should be posted by now.

Now my Q to mister Navarrete:
Why the heck was it so difficult to answer these simple questions?

For me personally, Cubase 6.5.5 has less bugs throughout the entire application than some of my plugins have individually. In fact, I struggle to think of anything at all that's broken in 6.5.5.

This is the reason it's so hard to upgrade, v6.5.5 is completely trouble-free here! :)

On the other hand, when I tried out Cubase Elements 7.06 Trial, I did notice quite a few problems in the first hour of use.

* F3 key sometimes doesn't open the mixer (you have to hit it twice)
* Playback cursor flickers
* Mixer is slow to open and laggy when scrolling through on bigger projects (v6 is much faster)
* Mixer interface (GUI) is not at all consistent with the arrange page (e.g. mute, solo, record and monitor buttons .etc)

Really hope that we see a lot more refinement in 7.5, but it doesn't appear that much work has gone into improving the mixer in the videos posted so far.

Two quick q's:

Is 6.5 without the ASIO bug?
Will 6.5 load 7.06 projects?
Where can I dl 6.5?

I assume reasons for seeing the outcome of a downgrade are obvious.

Best Regards

Another note:
Not even their website is working.
Have been trying for a while to open their "Shop" just to get the upgrade price.
Pages are heavily loaded with adverts and animated banners. No wonder their site sucks when more than 10 people try to access it at once.

They obviously don't want people to actually buy their products, instead it is more important that we see their sucky animated banners.

Pathetic.

Obviously you don't know what you're talking about. They put the site down every time when they lauch a new product.
Why don't u go using sonar for a really trivial experience ?

Now, not even their main site http://www.steinberg.net/ is working.
Just gets a "Problem loading page" every time.

How smart is that: create a hype, and on the day of the release, they start mending with their site...

ASIO load is considerably lower with tests on PC. Mac users might have different results. In general, it does perform better.

Yes - though it will lack some C7 exclusive features.

Contact Steinberg support, ask for an ISO download.

Since the webpage is down for me as well, I can't tell if you you can find the ISO as regular download link (like the C7 ISO's) in on the "Download Update" pages.
