their site is slow, but download was superfast. (75 Mb/s)
already running 7.5. so far all good...

They're using Amazon's servers for the downloads... Once you get past the slow website the downloads will be fast.

I don't even see the download link on their page actually.. I see the patch notes pdf and sample songs, but the link for the actual upgrade is missing??

Same here. This is confusing. I have surfed everywhere I know and cannot find the update link.

I had it right after paiment, in the same window, and downloaded from there.

yep, once payment was accepted, the download buttons came into the window.

Bought, downloaded, installed, and woking

There are a lot of nice visual refinements I didn't expect. Everything looks a bit cleaner and sharper.

Bill Gates retired years ago. He appointed you the server administrator. Congrats

Steinberg did (maybe still do?) count the amount of downloads against the store URL's they generate. So, if you use a download manager which splits files into multiple download chunks, it was possible to kill the link before you could download it(!) Maybe that's still the case.

The irony about that file is anyone with Halion 5/HS2 already has the 3GB+ VSTsound content (they're the exact same byte sizes). Not sure about the VSTpresets. Steinberg do seem have changed something minor about the vstsound container since the checksums don't match, but holy unnecessary content download Steinberg, there surely could've been a way to reduce that size.

For those wondering: 7.0 to 7.5 upgrade is 901MB Win, 929MB OSX.
HALion Sonic SE 2 is a separate zip/dmg download and is 2.57GB Win, 2.61GB OSX.
