Tobybear's works in the MIDI domain (with the pitch wheel).Tricky-Loops wrote:Any possibility of making a plugin that could simply load (and utilize) Microtuning (SCL or TUN) files?
I only have an very old one from TobyBear ("Micro-Tuner") but it doesn't work always and a more sophisticated one would be great! (I would even pay for it).
I meant a MIDI plugin, not an audio plugin.WOK wrote:Tobybear's works in the MIDI domain (with the pitch wheel).Tricky-Loops wrote:Any possibility of making a plugin that could simply load (and utilize) Microtuning (SCL or TUN) files?

An audio detune plugin would need additional MIDI input for this and will change the sound.
I think it's better to go for the few synths that support user scales.
I am thinking of these and more features (like auto variable delay time) - but maybe this will become a commercial version...theodore_whitmore wrote:Could you incorporate a random detune glide function? Something like a smoothed S&H to detune depth. For those awkward moments when a static detune sounds too static and a chorus sounds too chorusy.
I would imagine a slow drift (less than 1Hz) around the set detune value and a fast jitter between 0 and the set detune value would be the most useful settings so it wouldn't require any extra user parameters once you've settled on the best rate and depth values. Just make the power button multi-clickable to select on/more on/really, really on.
I can't wait for this one!WOK wrote:Like this?sinkmusic wrote:A micro-pitch-shifter might be nice indeed
