I'm afraid everything I need has already been released, it's just a financial issue to afford it all
First buying Push, then some popular plugins.
Still, if some flexible touch-screen solutions emerge, I will be interested.

sl1914,
The programs I listed in the prediction fall inside my sphere of interest. Bitwig is interesting but somehow I overlooked it.
The reason I Say Live 10 in 2014 is because the 8 to 9 took forever and when 9 finally arrived it was disappointing. Ableton will try to make amends.
DJ Warmonger,
My iPad will arrive Monday. Plant to use it primarily as a midi keyboard controller. Yes I would have preferred a Windows large touch-screen but too few apps are currently available for that OS.

Alchemy 2 is probably a LOT longer away than January given that the last beta testing for Alchemy 1.5 lasted several months, and they have not even asked for beta testers yet for Alchemy 2.

I went by the December 50% discount.Ben H wrote:Alchemy 2 is probably a LOT longer away than January given that the last beta testing for Alchemy 1.5 lasted several months, and they have not even asked for beta testers yet for Alchemy 2.
You are well informed and probably correct.
Darn it!

Not to worry though... there is still plenty of awesomeness packed into 1.5 to keep you busy in the meantime.Kalamata Kid wrote:I went by the December 50% discount.Ben H wrote:Alchemy 2 is probably a LOT longer away than January given that the last beta testing for Alchemy 1.5 lasted several months, and they have not even asked for beta testers yet for Alchemy 2.

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

What about Zebra 3 and Brazzile?
Cubase 8 around October, major restructure of the workflow and windows approach..
A Free but fairly big Live 9.5 release adding a lot of the things BitWig will do,ossibly adding max for live as an intigrated part of all live versions giving everyone that Modular feel...
Roland start releasing leasing expensive VSTs with dedicated hardware controllers and start with V Synth...
Bitwig studio released to a equal amounts of high praise, anger and criticism.
My last prediction...nothing that is released next year or the year after will make your music sound or sell any better...spend more time learning to play and understanding melodies, modes, structure and composition and less time installing and learning software!
Anyway- have to go now, Diva and Zebra upgrades to play with

Kalamata Kid: I use Live and because of this I hope Ableton will use 2014 to improving Live9. Making existing features rock solid while working on new improvements, whatever they have planned for Live10. Live9.1 works well in my PC, but it would be nice to see the PDC issue solved sometime in near future.

May 2014: if all goes well, knock on wood, Baby2, a brand-spankin' new VSTi from Ariston Gonad Productions, will be released into the world. It's a multi-timbral instrument that can mewl, cry, poo, pee and stare at the same time. The UI will likely be cute as the dickens, and, hopefully, self-explanatory.
It's also going to be more expensive than your average VSTi, but, again, if all goes well, it should last about 80 or 90 years.

No really let give them plus or minus 1 month. That's fair. Ok?
