This has been going on for years. And will for many years to come.

Great to see Bill Drummond hasn't become a burnt out wasted cocaine husked has been.

The most vital artist around today.

Check out Penkiln Burn. http://www.penkilnburn.com/

Read his words and see his deeds about Haiti and the tragedy there.

A smell of sulfur in the wind. Oh yes.

Who is up for doing a circuit with Gimpo and Bill next year?
We are planning on doing a live gig. 24 hours. As long as the circuit lasts. It may be longer. 48 hours indeed. This will be about the transference of technology. It may not be possible. Yet. Even in the 21st Century.

It doesn't matter if you just bring an ipod, or if you want to bring your whole rig. Gimpo is a magician - he can sort you out. We have the technology. Do you have the balls?

Sign below on the dotted line:

Before you think this is a piss take, and think of something clever to say, check out Dominic Wade's interview with Bill Drummond linked to above.

Bill Drummond will not be involved with this M25 spin. It is totally Gimpo's gig. Everyone knows this. And accepts this.

Bill will be around later. Ah huh ah huh. Kay Ell Eff. Ah uh ah uh ah hu ah hu!

This is a unique opportunity for people to buy into the dream. Live the lifestyle. Question the Status Quo.

Who the f**k is up for this?

:help:

Post

I'm pretty disappointed no one is up for this.

Oh well.

Those days have gone.

This is a new day.

Gimpo drives.

He won't let anyone else touch his wagon. He's a bit funny like that.

He's a f**king excellent driver.

will he pick me and my rig up from home?

f**king right he will.

He'd be well happy to.

Don't go thinking that this is some kind of piss take.

This is a unique opportunity for those at the cutting edge of music to make a difference.

Really.

How much gear you got?

He's got a pretty big battery I must say.

Recording everything is the whole point.

You're on the cutting edge of reality. That is all that matters. To people like us.

:-)

Er, shit, that's a bit of a schlep though init from the M25?. He doesn't even know about this yet. We are going to have to make this a feature. It's grim up north.

It's perfect really!

All I have to do is contact him and ask him nicely. But it seems in keeping with the whole project he is doing. He's pretty serious about it. And Bill Drummond is my all time favourite artist, and he takes it all pretty seriously too. That's good enough for me.

It might not even happen next year (2014), he might have other plans. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't happen in 2015. This is a long term project of his.

I think it's a goer. If you're semi-serious about it, I'll contact him and see if he is up for it. It's a 24 hour spin. I think it's a great idea whose time hasn't quite come yet.

Of course, yes, we will have to sort out transport, but that might not be too difficult. I would really love to get Dominic Wade involved as well to document it all.

I think it would be brilliant!

I don't think he has done a live gig from the back of his van before. He might have. We have the technology.

:D

hehe, my local station is mentioned in its grim up north :D

As all of us are.

They started something. It's not over yet. It just depends how far people are prepared to take it. In a time when dissent is outlawed. Every movement tracked.

It's good.

I'm going to try and get in touch with gimpo. Not sure how difficult it will be. It was a pretty open door to the whole thing he offered. Hence me taking liberties. But liberties was what it was all supposed to be about.

I think maybe doing 24 hours of a live gig on a 24 hour spin might be a bit much. What you up for? 8 hours? Maybe cut in half? 2x4 hour slots or something? That really would be so f**king cool to broadcast it live whilst orbiting junction 23.

:-)

I've got a good feeling about this.
