After going through all packs' content, here's my opinion:
- there's a serious CPU optimisation issue with almost all plugins. Huge loading time and CPU spikes - for ex before loading "SSS" CPU was around 7%; after loading the plugin it spiked to 35% and after using it went way over 50%. Truth be told my PC is really old, but even so I have no such issues with other plugins.
- some of them hang indefinitively at loading stage and (of course) eventually the DAW crashes (FL Studio, also Audition) - namely: "Lusus 2", "SB-2", "SB-2 FX".
- Reaktor ensembles are... let's say... decent; I liked especially "Bass Morpher" - that one looks like it packs a lot of power. Still too few presets for my taste. But that's just me.
- Synths: I liked "Rufius" and "SB-1"; raw, powerful, thick and in your face. With a bunch of effects on top they sound really good. Too bad for the very short preset lists, otherwise I would have kept them. I wish the devs would spend more time designing good sounds - they know the instruments like the back of their hand so they can show exactly what their synths are capable of.
- Effects: huge list, and honestly most of them are decent - you can put together a nice setup just with these plugins alone; some are interesting ("Oura Echoes", "SSS" - too bad this one is so CPU hungry), some are subtle & nice ("Sample Delay", "Space Verb", "WideScreen"; also "Tuga Distortion" works well on drum kicks) and one is IMO crazy good & unique: "Mad Dog 2" - this freakin' plugin is the bomb
Overall, very decent releases (that cater maybe to the more experienced users since most of them don't come with presets so you kind of need to know how to tweak them and what to use them for), a very consistent pack (ok, 3 packs) that covers a lot of jobs - from song creation to mastering. I've kept only "Oura Echoes", "SSS", "Space Verb", "Space Delay", "WideScreen", "Tuga Distortion" & "Mad Dog Filter 2" and I will use just the last 4.
Congratz for your 2000+ Facebook friends and thanks for the freebies
Best of luck & Merry Holidays

Indeed, some VSTs could do with some optimisations (remember - these are 32 bit). I simply do not have the time for that - I am a really busy man. I do not even turn on my pc for 1 month now! As I stated before, I actually only use some plugins I made (my PC is nowadays being used as a "Sound Effects" machine connected with my Mac by ADAT) so I am giving for free a bunch of them.
SB-2 is a powerful synth and requires a powerful CPU to work properly. I could remove all FX from it and it would become more usable but sacrificing all the fx sounds that give it its true personality.
SSS is like SB-2: it is a complex VST with so many modules... I love its sound but it is, indeed, a bit CPU hungry. I mainly use it on FX sounds and then I resample it for further processing without the SSS inserted.
Mad Dog 2 is very good, I also love it! As M/S EQ - another unique plugin!
I really rate high Distorted Flanger while many people don't get it or don't like it. Check this example:
Remember, these are my personal VSTs. They simply are available to any interested user (most for free nowadays)! But I am not a professional coder and I do not pretend to get a living by selling plugins. It simply helps to pay the bills!
To finish: indeed, the content of the free pack in Facebook do not have many presets included. They are included in all packs in my store (where you can get the VST packs including the other VSTs that I still use and that are not free). I have even more personal presets but they are in Logic Audio 5 PC format so I cannot translate them into another format.
As always, keep the VSTS you like and delete all others or archive them!
Again, thanks for your honest review.
As I wrote there,shanecgriffo wrote:hmm, i cant find the download.. i found a facebook#3 pack but it was only 45mb ..?
"2000 Fans! For 24H, the download link will have only the bonus plugins. Within 24H it will include the full pack.
This way, 2000 fans do not have to download everything again."
Full pack is around 380 Mb.
Cheers!

Well first of all, thanks again for all these freebies
I'm also on 32 bit and struggling with my ancient PC for a bit of CPU relief (Pentium 4 3 Ghz / 3072MB RAM) - that's why most plugins hit my machine hard. I reckon others with newer PCs will have no such issues.
Yeah, I really wanted to test SB-2 (I remember loading it a while back and that version worked IIRC), but this time something went wrong and both synth & effect crash my DAW. Too bad, I was hoping to keep at least the fx and use for my synths that don't have built in effects.
SSS is indeed impressive.
I admit, I didn't get why Distorted Flanger is so special either
As for presets, now that makes sense
Anyway, best of luck and again, thanks for the plugins - I don't think there's another developer that offer so much for free (be it hobbist of professional)

I forgot to answer to this.idfpower wrote:As for presets, now that makes senseI just mentioned that for the guys (like me) who like instant gratification & results without too much fiddling - although without turning those knobs, you'll probably never understand exactly that the plugin does so

IMPORTANT NEWS:
We have closed our online store as it was on a 2nd server and the sales have decreased a lot in the last years - it was not worth it anymore.
If you´re interested in our FX, SYNTHS or TOTAL Packs, they are still available in our website (http://www.ourafilmes.com) but now only as "donationware": you need to donate (on Paypal) 10, 20 or 25€, respectively, in order to get them.
Remember:
1) although many of our plugins are now free, most of our best VST stuff is not free and, obviously, is not included in our FB Pack!
2) you have the free mono versions of our VST FX in our website (FX Pack page) - "Stereo only FX" also have demos there.
Happy soundz!
