Exactly as you describe? That the SDK is an "utter failure", "so CPU intensive to the point of not being usable" or comparing the Props vision to "tyranny"? If you can't acknowledge how exaggerated and over the top such statements sound to those of us that happily use REs every day and with new ones continually being added to the shop week after week, then there's not much I can say. But it's an open forum, so feel free to keep ranting as venomously as you wish. It wouldn't be the PUF away from PUF without it.

You know.. even if they never came out with another RE, there would still be more than enough in the shop to make great music. There are thousands of plugins out there, but you can own all of them and they won't do anything for you if you don't have a vision. No amount of technology will ever be a substitute for persistence and passion. I know you can't do a rendition of Mozart's sixth symphony with spoons and a frying pan but there comes a point where you have to stop waiting for everything to become automatic and express your ideas the best you can with what you have.

All this overdramatic hate/sucks/garbage/failure hyperbole is pointlessly negative. PH spent 5 years developing the RE SDK. It isn't going away and they're releasing all their own devices as REs along with everyone else. It would be silly to assume they're oblivious to the SSE performance issues. I'm sure they know full well and it's in everyone's best interest (including their own) to address these issues as the SDK evolves.

I think it's pointless to point out that it's pointless to make up facts.

Apparently the folks over at Nucleus-Soundlab have just released their Hyperdrive refill for Parsec. Sounds good:

I absolutely love Reason, but I recently sold it again.
I believe for the 4th time.

I'm sure I'll be back though.

It's been a while since I've bought any refills - that's one I might consider. Very nice stuff in there!

I buyed two refills two yesterday in a shop :

Zero G creative essentials for Reason ;
(huge , there is all 31 essential vol in it) 180 Euros was the price but on sales in the shop like on the net around (50 euros)

I bet online it is sold for less then this but I love the 3 cd's with 7gb/9000samples on it .

and SoundScan vol61 sfx toolbox vol2 for 70 euros payed less then half !

nnxt's with guns and door noize etc.... pretty good !

If I could buy RE's in real shops like refills even for more then there normal price I would because most of the time my next 6 months budget is getting decided in 2 two minutes in the shops :D

I mean the good refills come also in cd's because there are not made by cheap sound-designers so why RE's only are sold this way ! I mean if I go to a shop to buy ballance I find it (no need to wait) , next I buy a refill exposed in the shop , then I look around and leave with a monotron and a fx pedal because there was no RE to buy and back home I have no more cash for them !

so no matter what peoples say there is a lot of sales not being made by online proposing them in a online way to buy .

I think vst's and other plug-ins format are great but I like RE's better because Reason is way different and more modulare and fun then any other daw and also bring more option to my sounds when other daws are more or less using plug-in that can also sound great but feels static !

I got admit you surprised me with that one spaceman!
I know, but I'll probably be back with the next update :) I just seem to be more productive with Logic, which is important considering I have little time to make music.

I really love the idea of REs. They really shine when its a new device and not a port IMO. Ports lead to expectations which could lead to letdowns. I hope "big name" devs (and small name devs for that matter) will begin making NEW and EXCLUSIVE devices to Reason. Sort of like Echobode, BuffRE, Antidote, and the numerous others. Part of why I like Reason is because its different. Bringing VST ports over to RE takes away from Reason's uniqueness.
