VST3 Compressors with Side-chain, am I missing any options here?

I don't know about the other plugins but LFO tool has it's own filters so you can dial in some character there as well.

I'm not totally convinced that any character imparted by a compressor used for ducking is noticeable anyway, but I could be wrong.

When I want the typical sidechain ducking effect I simply use the Cubase compressor (which is quite nice imo) or some kind of volume automation tool (you could also simply draw the automation).

Here is a quick example with a Diva bass and a Diva synth "sidechained" to a Bazille kick by Uhbik-T:

Bump. Thanks for this list, as I had 2 compressors in the list (Waves HComp & Ren Comp) that I didn't know had side chain possibilities. Anything else?

How about a side chain EQ, similar to what I believe is in Ableton, where the SC input can control either the gain or frequency of an EQ?

Waves C6 is VST3. It's my favorite tool of all time. It's so much more than a simple multiband sidechain compressor.

This is personal experience and opinion for what it's worth

Waves H-Comp - sidechaining is quite subtle works well, but I've never got the extreme pumping ducking effect
Softubes Valley Audio Dynamite - a good sidechain I tend to find is fiddly for the pump and gate, but works well and does add character to drums.
Cubase's built in already mentioned is not bad.
Vengeance MultiSidechain is fantastic and great for rhtyhmic sidechaining has audio/midi and timining pumping.
Pro-G - has THE ducking effect in my opinion
Pro-C - for compression sidechain.
Waves C6 - have found it's heavy on the asio and high cpu usage.
The Rocket - not realsied they'd gone vst3 nice comp. Just checked website again Quaddro in Cubase.
Sonalksis is great but does require the Quaddro setup in Cubase

Venageance MultiSidechain for the best results and versatility in my opinion. elicenser.

Edit, just checked C1 in Cubase, the sidechain button is available.

Actually Sami, C1 is not a bad choice, because of it's very versatile and possible aggressive settings, it's very suited to all sorts of sidechain duties

Depends which C1 you select. Counter-intuitively, the "SC" one isn't VST3. It's a real hodge-podge with Waves: V-Comp, SSL Comp are also SC enabled, but none of the CLA compressors are, or MV2, C4, the limiters, the 670... in fact most of the Dynamic processors are NOT VST3-SC enabled.

The landscape has changed a lot from a few years ago! There was a time when Alloy was the only kid on the block outside of Steiny's plugs. In the non-VST3-SC dept. there are still some big notable standouts, NI, IKM, and not the least of which is Sonalksis (what a waste for DQ-1 and CQ-1...).

no, waves are vst3 and support S/C as well as au SC. I am using C1 with SC in logic right now.

Yes, Waves are VST3, but the C1 doesn't offer external SC inputs in all hosts. The is an internal SC in C1 in Cubase, but not an external one.
