I've been working on a new soundbank for Diva for quite some time now and I'm still amazed how versatile Diva is!
It doesn't seem very flexible at first but it can do a lot of very different stuff, especially once one learns how to take advantage of all the subtle details of the different modules.
The new digital osc is actually may new favorite plugin oscillator apart from the Zebra oscillators (which are a completely different thing)
[shamelessselfpromotion]
If everything goes well my bank may even be availbe later today already
[/shamelessselfpromotion]
Cheers

Urs, it's too bad the digital waveform selector isn't automatable and therefor not hardware mappable outside of general midi.
The other osc waveform shapes are automatable as is I think every other control or button on the synth.
Any chance you could expose the digital osc selector to the host?

Diva is my favourite soft synth at this moment. It's a really great instrument with a rich sound. But this synth still not so popular like Sylenth or Massive, it's strange...

Because those two synths are highly associated with Skrillex (had to google his name) and Avicii (google thing again).In.Sight wrote:Diva is my favourite soft synth at this moment. Kids and most grownups these days need to be told what's cool, because they can't make their own mind about it, how can you base your decisions on about what you hear when you already have been told what's cool, decisions, decisions..... hahahaha (more or less it always was like that, though).
Also those synths are catered with presets in abundance, most don't care what's that knob or that, because they don't have either time or will to sit in front of a computer screen making love with knobs, can't blame them for that, though.
So a thing about quality is told of, not experienced for most.
Besides, those synths have imparted "their sound" on most popular EDM tracks, so for newer folks this is how a cool sound sounds, a sound of the future, if you will, so in their mind you can't go wrong with that.
Not dissing or blaming here anyone at all, be it people or a synth, I personally don't care who's using what, as far I'm concerned, it could be whatever what sounds good to them, just giving some random thoughts on a thing.
New modules for diva is like icing on the cake at the moment and it pushes an envelope further than before, I bet it also made some long faces for some, for better or worse haha
well being "pushed" is a healthy thing sometimes, grab some cookies with milk and relax lol.
Transmission is over.

Or to borrow a quote from the curmudgeonly grandfather in She's Having a Baby, "Nowadays, people don't mature...they just stay jackasses their whole lives!"Blue-eyed Blonde Ape wrote: Kids and most grownups these days need to be told what's cool
This is a great update indeed. Someone mentioned presets earlier - are there added presets in this release that utilize the new modules? If so, I must have missed them (but if so, it wouldn't be the first time I missed something that was right in front of my face).
