On PC I use both 32 and 64 bit plugins (mostly for beta testing), would be nice if the installer allowed both, not one or the other and give you an ominous warning when you do one then do the other.

thanks

why not run the installer a second time again? i think most people use only 64 or 32 therfore it makes sense.

that's what I do.....but apart from the minor inconvenience (many installers have a tick box where you can select 32 and or 64 bit), you choose the location before the plugin version which I think is a bit unusual, not a big deal, but unusual.
on my system it defaults to 64 bit, so I do that first, then I choose the 32 bit location and choose the 32 bit file from the drop down. Diversion now brings up a notification (which my ominous is a bit over the top I admit :-)) that says it won't uninstall the 64 bit version even though I have unselected it.

all minor but would be nice if I had a tick box like most other installers I use.

ah okay, got it. what i hate most if the installer install both versions without asking but thats another story.

understood, as I too hate when installers do AAX and RTAS or AU automatically, as I don't use any of those formats and pretty much doubt if I ever will.

Thanks Dmitry for the update, very cool stuff indeed.

While we're talking about the installer: I'd appreciate if the factory sounds weren't installed in the user's documents folder (Windows). I for example use a different user to run the software than to install it, so I always have to copy over files after installation. A dedicated data folder would be nice.

Hey guys, yes, next time I'll make nice installers with all mentioned options, actually it should has been done a long ago. The installers a bit awkward, at least on Windows. I'll definitely update it.

Had a little time to play with 1.3 and i must say it is amazing to see how this synthesizer, which was already great on initial release, keeps developing into something ever greater. I will certainly check it out some more at the weekend, for now let me just mention 2 things i noticed right away:

1) The Output Recorder window generates very high CPU usage.

The Wavetable Editor and Preset Browser windows dont do that.

2) If Poly Mode is set to Retrigger, and Keys is set to 1, retriggering does not work.

It only works when Keys is set to 2 or higher.

Quick Repro: Use default init preset, set Poly Mode to Retrigger, set Keys to 1, press and hold any key, press and release a second key.

That said, i also want to thank you again for such an endurable demo noise. Last week i was playing with the Harmor demo and it was aweful because it generates a loud whitenoise blast every 10 seconds. While i was able to ignore it for a little while, in the end it was so unbearable that i had to quit even though i would have loved to try some other things. Your sizzly rattlesnake on the other hand...no problem at all. Its there, it makes it clear that you are running a demo, but it doesnt get on your nerves. In my opinion, thats demo done right. 8)

Hey Env, I'll check it all, thanks!

Thank you very much for this nice update, Dmitry !

Post

Are there some demos or opinion about the granular stuff?
Would be interesting - i just don't have time to try the demo right now.

Looks like soon it will cover everything what i wanted in a great synth :)
Congrats Dmitry :tu:

Post

Thanks guys! I'm going to make some presets to show granular stuff in action, but I need time for that...

Post

Thanks very much for the update Dmitry... adds a nice new sonic palette to an already wonderful synth. Great stuff, cheers! :D

Maybe Simon of Patchpool could do some since they're always brilliant, so what do you say Simon? :D
