What's the cpu usage like with Monark.
Is it higher usage than Diva?
I'd like to buy it, but not sure my cpu can handle it.

Both good points, especially on the synthbrass. I tend to always pass on organ synth patches in favor of real B3 emulators. For pipe organ I may look to AAS Tassman if not samples. For acoustic Piano Pianoteq, and so forth.

Since it is monophonic, you cannot crush the cpu like with Diva... I heard they are roughly comparable for monophonic patches. I actually have Monark now (got Komplete at an absurdly cheap price), but have not installed it, so that is just what I have read here.

The organ patch isn't the only great patch in diva.
that organ patch sounds great. I'm not saying you can replace a B3
with it. Remember the great Tony Banks organ patch, done with a prophet 10

I just bought Monark.... WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is seriously the best softsynth ever, maybe the first one that actually sounds real/alive?! I had to get it after the developers uploaded the a/b test and it sounded so much like the original, whoever wrote this software is a genius.

I listened to all the youtube demos of the new hardware moog synths planning on buying one, and this actually sounds better!

Maybe the revision of the minimoog they modeled for monark was just the holy grail, modern hardware ones sound weak in comparison... can't believe i just picked this up for £43 :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Time to make some REAL synth sound like this! Minimoog lead at 1.37 i reckon...

I had to buy this. Great deal for $49.50.

Monark + Strobe can cover all of my bass needs.

another +1 here

got this as part of the K9 update and it's seriously impressive.

that first default patch when you open it up is gorgeous...

monark + diva + tal bassline = no desire to get another outboard analogue in the near future...

I've got Monark and the TAL-U-NO-LX. I've no need for real analogue synths any more. They both cover any desire for the real things and I've owned several Juno 106s over the years.

Its so true but some will just never admit it.

I think Monark is the only reason I have any desire to buy K9. I'll hold off until K10, but looking forward to owning Monark.

For me it was both Monark and BitRate (Icebreaker Audio). If it weren't for those two I might have passed on the whole thing, not that there aren't a whole other bunch of fantastic creations that I enjoy. But those two tipped me over the edge ;)

Thought I might get into building my own stuff, but then I take a look at the guts of other people's stuff and I'm like, haha yeah thanks kbai.

yes Monark has almost got me selling my Moog (because I need the money - having a distinct interface is still more inspiring)....but I havent found anything polyphonic yet that can cover my oberheim. The diva osc dont cut it for me and similar with Tal. Im hoping NI might do another Prophet...

OP-X Pro II is great, too.

Believe it or not, Arturia SEM V is damn good. Not Monark/Diva/TAL-good (i.e., in terms of emulating), but still really, really good--better than Arturia's other attempts at emulating hardware.
