Sorry, but it IS counter intuitive, as there is a side chain option in the C1 Comp-Gate plugin. Yes, the C1 does have external side-chain, but Waves own website says "ProTools only" when it mentions external side chain. See http://www.waves.com/plugins/c1-compressor

It depends on which version you choose though. Since the nomenclature of the plugins contains what function each plugin contains, you wouldn't know that the "C1 Comp-SC" lacks external side chain and that the "C1 Comp-Gate" contains internal side chain while it lacks external side chain.

"C1 Comp" and "C1 Gate" are the only C1 plugins that contain external side chain inputs.

Even now C1 is an extremely versatile and useful compressor. It doesn't get mentioned very often these days perhaps due to its lack of vintage analog heritage, but I still think it's excellent.

I can't say for the vintage, but the portico do not have side chain capabilities, even if it's vst3.

Can you think of anymore?
You left off a bunch of waves' compressors. I can't think of anything other than that.
