Ah thanks guys, I think I get it. So it's basically the good old climax, but you now say drop because that sounds way cooler?

Think of it as dropping heavy things on the floor. Dropping the bass onto the dance floor, to be specific.

I wouldn't call "break" and "drop" the same. Break is when the sound goes down, leaving silence or just subtle string. Break is usually follows risers and rolls, and comes when the energy is at the limit.

Drop, however, is an absrupt and unexpected change of music, usually introducing sick and fat bass or some twisted sound to keep people dancing.

Break - Break in the arrangement where the beats stop and you have music/synths pads/pianos/big build up.

Drop - Comes after the break and is where the beat kicks back in after the build up.
