Reaktor Player is just a nother name for Reaktor Demo. Same as Kontakt Player. In order to take full advantage of the synth you need the full version. Enough said.

Yes, it's monophonic. Also it doesn't respond to velocity. But where did anyone say "it's the same thing as Sylenth?" People have said "I prefer Monark" or "Monark sounds better" or "Sylenth is better" or whatever (changing nobody's opinion on the matter). :smack:
The statement was: "extra sound quality". Monark and Sylenth not only are differently built, but they sound and cater to different crowds. It's like comparing apples with oranges. How can it be better/sounding better, when they're from different planets (so to speak)?

Now on KVR this is regarded as an -almost- mandatory skill, but truth is to some folks a synth packed with ready to go sounds with an intuitive layout is all they need. Instant gratification - why not :)
Perfect description for me.

I consider myself a musician that benefits from technology. Not the other way around. I just want to play. If someone comes up with cool and interesting sounds, I will figure out a way to make them into music.

I love whatever it is that the devs do, and I very much appreciate their talent and resolve. I have no desire to do any of it myself, however.

ps, how high do you have to be to get your pupils that big....

It for sure sounds amazing. I laughed when someone said Zebra 2 "kills it". Zebra is the most overrated anything in the world. It doesn't touch the sound quality of Sylenth1.

Isn't it kinda humiliating for the people arguing that FL Studio is a toy that some top producer like Avicii uses it to produce his top ten tracks? :hihi: Not that i found his music any good, i recently listened to one of his tracks on radio, and for me, it was plain boring. But can't argue about taste i guess.

I could use any host I want but I stick with FL Studio after trying and/or buying most of them. It's a tool like anything else. You can call it a toy, toys are fun! I can't say the same for most other hosts.

Full Reaktor is required to take full advantage of Monark?

I'm intrigued by this conclusion. What do you mean by "sound quality"?

No. I used Razor in Reactor player for a long time, saved my presets and full songs with automation with no limitations, I guess it's the same for Monark. You may read the comparison chart of reaktor and reaktor player at the NI site. Nothing essential unless you want to hack the archeticture of an ensemble.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

I used Razor for quite a time before I got Reaktor. It was fine in the Reaktor Player and I could even save presets under Cubase 6. I don't think I was supposed to be able to, but I was :hihi:

how good it sounds. I guess you could say the less "cheap sounding" the better. Ever hear some of these weaker synths, some free ones, some really low priced ones? They have a "cheap" sound to them. The farther in the other direction is what I call "sound quality".

Charlatan doesn't sound cheap to me and that's free. Same re: Zebralette, Noisemaker, etc... Waveforms don't care how much money you spent to make them.

Give me a genius with a cheap noisemaker over some pretentious twat with a Moog. Though a pretentious genius twat with a Moog AND cheap noisemaker probably wins it. :hihi:

AFAIK you can only save your own sounds as single presets.

i don't think any one plugin is definitive; it's great to have MORE than one, to complement the other(s). i wouldn't give up zebra (which i love, and use a lot), for sylenth1, or...vice versa, or...anything (altho i DID abandon S1 when logic went 64bit).

for me, about 5 plugins is the minimum, and each one has it's place in the mix (so to speak).
