I am looking to finalize my portable composing rig with a lightweight, yet full featured, USB midi keyboard.

I need 61 keys, USB and 5 pin midi, mod and pitch wheels, possibly some sliders, knobs and drum pads.

I already own a akai mpk 49, but it's too boxy and the keys are too small for me. 49 keys are too few for me as well.

However, I don't want a full size midi master keyboard as well.

In your opinion, is there a keyboard that fits my needs?

The Roland A800 61 key looks interesting, as does the Alesis qx61, but without seeing them in person, I cannot tell how big they are.

I want to be able to go to a coffee shop, setup my laptop and/or ipad and then plug my midi keyboard in. I use a Presonus Audiobox USB as my audio source.

I would like to stay under $200 USD if possible. Under $300 if I use zzounds and split the payments.

Can just say that I love my m-audio oxygen 49 for both iPad and PC. It has Direct Link and thus support many DAWs and synths out of the box. You can buy the 61 key version if you want more than 49 keys.
