Looking for some help here, I'm sure there's a better way to do this:
I recorded some midi tracks in the seq(verse),copied it out three times and used this looped to work out a rhythm guitar part. Recorded that and added a lead guitar track. As I've inserted additional midi parts
(bridge, chorus)I've stretched the audio track and had to readjust the position of the waves on both tracks.
This has been tedious as the both guitar parts have been split,in the edit view, into several sections and fade in and outs were added at several points on both. Tedious because:
The wave edit view is in beats while my reference point is bars.(I found that if you multiply for your points you get close but not always correct?)
If you attempt to adjust a fade point that has been pushed to max there's a good chance that the wave start point will move.(insert request here)How about an audio automation track that allows you to draw, volume, pan and insert effect data?
The wave start point actually moves the position of the wave on the time line as opposed to masking that portion of the wave. Then you need to realign the wave.
It really helps to be able to see the seq track while adjusting the wave slice position.

Should I slice the waves in an external editor and import the pieces?
Can I copy the sections and some how trigger them like in an external audio part? I tried to dice them up in an external audio part but it appears to have a 32 beat limit.
Am I missing something obvious (this happens on regular basis).
Is all this already on the list and I should just go back to checking the beta page?

Thanks

Part of the problem solved. I didn't realize that if you double click on the Track name area in the seq view it opens up an in track edit window!
This shows the wave sections and I can drag them around as needed in reference to the rest of the parts. Also shows the channels way cool!

Think I'll double up the rhythm part!

Thanks to anybody that actually read the whole post.
