Hey now :) Urs is always here, he doesn't need to jump in, he is master of this castle ;)

Joking aside, I don't think anyone in his/her right mind would dare to say U-HE synths sound bad - everybody knows they sound very good (I would have used the term "killer" but then someone might throw the "fanboy" label in so it's better avoiding that). You may or may not like U-HE signature sound, or maybe their stuff is not your cup of tea in terms of features or whatever - but sound quality is there, no question about it.

Gee I feel the exact opposite.
To me, Sylenth1 is one of the most overated.
And Zebra is still being developed and getting better all the time.
btw, you have to undertsnad the context of ATS's comment... He has vowed not buy any more synths so he has to work hard convincing himself that none of the synths he doesn't have are worth a damn... :hihi:

Yes or the developer not telling if they have some new features planned.
Compare it to how companies like Camel Audio or U-he handle this communication.
And that is why I won't buy sylenth and have bought alchemy. Sylenth sounded nice when I tried it. But there are other factors than just the sound.
Pigments Presets, Omnisphere Expansions, Dune, Serum, and Thorn Sound Packs. Diva, Zebra, TAL, and Repro Sound Banks. Massive discounts - https://NewLoops.com

I have managed to hold my breath for 3 minutes and 27 seconds. That's my new record.
If you like diving, sylenth 1 vs zebra looks like cool thread for practicing.
Murderous duck!

I find it absolutely ludicrous that Sylenth should be even compared to Zebra at all. Zebra can produce sounds like no other soft-synth can, and it can be used in just about any genre of music. Sylenth is much more of a one-trick pony. It sounds OK, but with the styles of music that I write, if I were on a desert island and only had Sylenth....I would go drown myself in the ocean. :P

I just heard that Hans Zimmer was going to stop using Zebra, and go 100% Sylenth for the next Superman movie.

What's the deal with EDM producers wearing beanie hats? I'd be hard pressed to find any issue of Future Music or Musictech without a picture of some guy wearing a beanie hat in it. Even the Summer issues. Is there some secret compressor/expander plugin built into the hat that would inflate or deflate their egos at will? Kudos to Armin for avoiding the beanie hat wagon.

I think that they use the beanie hats to hide their joints in.
