And there goes another negative feedback/report regarding the 7.5 release. C7.x seems to be even more broken than before (again, certain rigs). What in the hell is the development team doing lately?

Don't worry about the tests, Theo. I think Steinberg has different issues to sort out at this point. I really only hope, that C8 will not be such a faux pas.

Cubase 7.5 is running great on my machine.

Stable, Fast, ....etc.

Another thumbs up here; C7.5 update installed like a dream, found everything, loads and runs old, big (for me, that means 60+ tracks) projects no problem, no crashes, no stuttering, etc, etc...

A solid release/update for me (though I'll mention, I am no 'power-user' like some here..!)
System 1 - Win11; i9 13900HK miniPC; 64Gb; Iris XE graphics; Cubase 15.0.30; Studio Pro v8.1;UR44 i/o
System 2 - Win10; i7 4790; 16Gb; GTX750Ti; Cubase v14.0.41; WLab Pro v12.0.51; StudioOne v6.6.4

No issues here, I feel for the guys that are having problems, it must be very frustrating. It must depend on your system and plug-ins used

Running great here on OSX ML and Win 8.1
IMac 32gb ram prop balance, Dell i7 laptop 8gb ram Kore 1

Yep, everything running very nicely here.

And I say once again, "Roland"? :|

same for me. Great update! Tried the HSSE2 and the racktrack thing and very nice imho. In the forthcoming days i will be exploring the new drum agent. Saw some video's about it. Awsa... awsome functionality! This is a very big upgrade in terms of functionality. And...This is not only usefull for drums!! It's a nice synthy like thing per button with a lot of tweeking and envelopes... This is a must use with correctly configerd controllers.

Regarding the package: indeed it is necessary to see vids on the net first because a lot is hidden on first sight. There is multimulti much more to discover than the promotional guys are putting into the picture. Maybe that is due to choice of the PR department. For example: the loopmash fx will be a quickly overblown feature in tracks on the worldwide scene, and its true... for me i find it still fun to be also able to do a humpyhumpy effect on my tracks live. But a lot of other things are far more important.

Conclusion for me: this upgrade is nice, and a stable one in fact.

and as an addition: i also liked the install in the way that it doesn't overwrite the old exe's and stuff, and thus keeps the cpr's in the Original state. Tried and tested files that are in usage won't be harmed that way. Good job!

No issues here. I installed 7.5 in a different folder at the same harddisk. Can start both versions (7.06 and 7.5) with no problems. Still no bounce in place , again .

I have purchased and installed 7.5 and I still see that the ASIO is inefficient compared to past versions (I am with Cubase since SX3). I will live with it, but it sure gives a poor impression that the newest version of a relatively expensive piece of software performs worse than previous versions for something as fundamental to the application as ASIO.

I have ASIO Guard switched off. It causes pops and crackles, without it everything is just fine.

7.5 stable as a rock here

The spikes with asio are not present on win 8.1 for me. (since switching from win7 where they were indeed present)

Maybe there should be an explanation from the steinberg side that explains things to normal customers of what is actually going on under the hood. It is not normal for the inventor of ASIO to have these kind of problems. Too much people do see those spikes, and they are real. As i understand as a non techy and a unfortunate moneyspender, it looks for me they are related to the version of the OS.

But since ASIO spikes are really annoying and thus important to keep customers linked to your product, some explanation should be given imho.
