The workflow is great.
I really like the fabfilter-like modulation routing, it's thunder-quick to set up and works fine.
The resizable interface is very handy, the layers are ace

At least on my home PC on Windows XP this is still a crash happy beast. Always aborts with what looks like a 0 pointer dereference to me after a short while.
But that's why the developer calls it beta, I guess. :)
The idea and its realization are really good.
Now it's time for the program to mature.
Hi, I'm not supporting Windows XP. I'm surprised it loads up actually!

Bought :)
Great fun granular synth!
I hope that the filter change panel goes to the front page.
And I need the delay effect.

The Mangle indeed supports WinXP. At least for about a minute after each invocation. :hihi: With sound and all.
I saw that your installer relies on C:\ProgramData as its data installation path. You should perhaps use %APPDATA% or %CommonProgramFiles% from the environment instead of a hardcoded path. The VST plugin path to suggest for installation can be extracted from the registry. It's a string at HKLM\SOFTWARE\VST\VSTPluginsPath.
If that key doesn't exist, you're good to guess and suggest that to the user.

Downloading! :hyper:

Why? Just throw a delay effect right after it in your chain, no?

I like the fact that this synth is not bloated. Simple and straight forward granular synthesis. I can put any types of effects after it I want so…

It's crashing for me in Windows 7, hosted in Maschine.

Would be nice to default keyboard mapping ranges to the full range, and also for copy/paste on the first page to also be able to include the keyboard settings.

Only some minor graphics glitches with stuff not updating.
The same exactly in Windows 8.1 64bit / Studio One v2.6

Low cpu usage :tu:

Ok, wth... Ronnie (rekkerd) posted this little blub about "the win version is available now as well in beta"... and I'm like "huh? Donno this? Weird, cause I have my finger very much on the pulse of new toys for soundbanks and sound design... right, let's watch this little video... yawn...". Somehow my paypal paid after about 45 seconds of watching the video. Bad paypal... bad! I've never done that. I feel dirty. :hihi: I once topped and turned for 3 months on buying a vst that was $30... demo'd it probably 50 times.
All I can say is good video mate.

Had some issues in FL on Win7 x64, but I'll flick you an email at some point Tom.

This is so frigging awesome :-)

Worked with a vocal sample from 8dio/Francesca Genco last evening:
http://www.screendream.de/stuff/TheMang ... angle2.mp3
The Mangle with one single sample of a lullaby chanted by Francesca, a tad of ValhallaVintageVerb.
Played by one instance of Nova3 with one slow bouncer triggering a new note every now and then.

Restricting grains to scales is dope.

Amazing :-)  :tu:

Cheers,

Tom

Nice.

Bought the Win version.

Some things to report:

The main issue is that I don't seem to be able to find a way to get the first grain to sound - whatever the Rate setting is at, that's how long before I can hear anything when triggering a note. Also, it would be really useful if we could have the option for the first grain to have 0 attack independent of the Grain Env, to catch the "leading edge" of the sound, if you see what I mean..

On small samples, the wave display becomes pixellated when selecting Duration / Total Length

Load a sample, Go to Timing Settings, click one of the notes then choose "Quantise Grains", then playing a note causes it to crash, taking the host down with it

The Zoom bar is clunky, the range indicator often going in the opposite direction to mouse movements, especially when the pointer is off-bar

LFO Waveforms don't de-highlight when choosing another one

With a Pulse LFO assigned to play position, changing the LFO Pulsewidth shifts the play position of both points

On small samples, set Duration to longer than the sample length, then set Grain Env Attack to 0, this will kill the audio (a VERY loud noise happens on my system), the plugin has to be restarted, and sometimes other plugins further downstream too.

The Rate control has non-linear scaling, but the modulator mappings to this control don't appear to cater particularly well for this - it's very hard to create precise modulations in the high range, even when using CTRL to fine-tune.

I just bought this. Amazing amounts of potential. I took a risk on this, because I normally wait for a demo, but wanted to support the dev.

So far it plays pretty nicely in Reaper. One crash the first time I used it, but then it was fine. It does not seem to be good friends with Ableton Live.

Makes wonderful sounds. I look forward to seeing how this develops.

How comes? Win or Osx? Osx Ableton here and it is pretty solid...
