Just an idea that came to me ...

...does an audio editor that works ( or NOT ) on classic mode and support classic VST exist ?

- Does exist, or is concievable to create a simple host supporting classic VST and VSTi that could be rewired to an OSX running DAW in order to offer the possibility ( at a certain degree, of course ! ) of using classic effects and instruments together with an audio/MIDI sequencer running under OSX ?

It seems that i didn't ask the good questions in a good manner :

1)-Does an OSX host program, that support classic VST plugins, exist ?

OR

2)-Is it possible for any kind of host (sequencer or not) that runs on classic mode, and support classic VST, to be slaved via rewire protocol to another host that runs on OSX ?

3)-...at least is it simply possible to make real time communication in audio between both kind of operating systems ?

No.
I would bet good money this isn't even possible on any level. Seriously think of the complexity, and inherent instability of what you're asking for, it would be a mess at best, but my guess is you just couldn't go it at all.

Search around and replace your OS 9 VSTs, most of the companies have made an OSX VST version at least of their plug. Some of them don't charge for the privilege, some do.
Good luck.

Well...

...at least that's a crystal-clear answer, thanks !

Apart from those consideration...

-Does anyone knows if there is a host working in classic mode that would still support classic VST ?

-that keeps you with the possibility to still use the old standards even on G5 ?
