Any websites that list instrumentation of some genres?

I'm at a dry spout where I can't really think of what instruments to compose with through synth vsti's. Does anyone know any websites that list common mixes of instruments. For example some website would say for Metal, guitar for lead: notes usually distorted, rhythm guitar distorted: at low notes, usually palm muted, drums, bass, singer. Silly example but are there instrumentation websites to get my creative juices going. Trying to think of some patches to use as my leads but think I would be better off getting inspired to look at something and say, hey maybe I should add something that sounds like a trumpet for the melody. Or something that sounds like a violin for some chords. Theres a website for everything and I suppose there could be a genre website for most genres instrumentation used. Thanks in advance.

I have not come across such a website but iirc Rick Snowman's book "Dance Music Manual" (tried to find my copy to be 100% sure but no luck) lists lots of EDM genres and their most prominent characteristics (instrumentation, arrangement etc). EDM = every kind of electronic music (House, Techno, Downbeat, HipHop, Trance etc...), not that modern "Hey, that's EDM thingy sound".
