OK - I really like this little guy. Nice sound, fast workflow (or it will be once the knobs are working better). It just kicked RS56 out of the master bus chain of a rock mix.

The manual could use a bit of touchup and in reaper (Win7 32) I can't adjust the values using the native UI (gui-less), that will force me to sweep and use my ears more - not a bad idea... The freq knobs are hard as hell to grab.

Anyway I trust the minor details will get corrected soon...for now, gotta have.

Perfect - I'll try that. The purchased version 1.0 seems to let me adjust the knob a little better as well as the gui-less values in reaper...don't tell me they're the same code version...

That's funny since the demo and the full version are exactly the same codebase...

The fact that you can't change parameters through the host parameter windows is an intended limitation of the demo my demos cannot receive any parameter automation from host and cannot save any data to the host.

Anyway the update out next week will improve the knob usability, lower the noise floor according to the new measurements and reduce a little the computation load of the saturation algorithm

I implore you to reconsider. This has already replaced about 3 other EQ's for me, making my workflow much faster.

Thank you very much i have do admit that this eq impresses me too, i never used the board but Alessandro told me that it is one of the best EQ in that board price range, and being designed by API people probably means something.

It is actually replacing my own ChannelStrip for my productions

They are two completely different EQ especially in the lower end, it's probably matter of taste!

I tested this against waves API and yes, the sound character is pretty similar. The only difference is that this one sounds more focused and reveals the sounds in the mix better

I know that what I'm about to ask is not part of the original hardware design... but I really would like to have another option for HPF. I do a lot of acoustic, classical music and sometimes I find that a very smooth, gentle filter at 250 Hz with 6dB/octave is the best to really clear things up without any adverse effects. The best one I've heard is actually comes with the Beyerdynamics MC 930 microphones. I have no idea what is different about them but whenever I switch them on I feel that it takes away only what is not needed; just tightens up sound in the most natural ways. Anyway, just thought I would mention this.
