What does that mean?
It means that a site gets so popular after a mentioning on a much frequented (news) site that it more or less crashes under the load of the following user requests. In Germany also known as "geheiset" (after the popular IT news site heise.de).
My download did work, but it was slow, too...

When I saw this I said WTF:

SUPERCHARGER Win (95 MB)

It looks like Supercharger for Windows 95.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

btw, I just noticed that the dll on windows is like 30 megs in size. Pretty much for a one knob compressor. Or is there a complete Reaktor engine inside? In comparison: the new DC8C2 is under 2.5 mb.

Yeah, to get real tube warmth, the older the OS the better :D

phat sound calls for phat binaries ? :) Dunno what they put into those .dlls - the "Solid"-FX are similarly big.

very nice of NI thanks a lot, i dunno if i will use it much as i totally love my Waves Renn Compressor. i tried the Supercharger on single elements like kick, snare etc. and it seems to be wicked! but for a mix compressor it doesnt seem to be so good.

Just got the email:

"Shift into high gear this holiday season with SUPERCHARGER - a boutique compressor, rich with tube character. DJs can expand their sets with four hard-hitting TRAKTOR Remix Sets, based on popular MASCHINE Expansions. And everyone gets a $25.00 e-voucher, valid at the NI Online Shop. Claim your gifts today - SUPERCHARGER will cost $49.00 from January 2014 and the e-voucher expires on December 31. Happy Holidays!"

So
1. Supercharger
2. $25 voucher
3. TRAKTOR Remix Sets

Do the TRAKTOR Remix Sets work with anything other than TRAKTOR? Can you load these into, say, Battery 4?
Berfab
So many plugins, so little time...

sounds like it might be a standalone wrapper for Guitar Rig rather than Reaktor

Edit /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist changing the ProductVersion from 10.6.8 to 10.7. Then change it back after installing. You could probably leave it set to 10.7 but I like to have it right.

You'll need to reinstall the Service Center as some updates/installers will overwrite it with one requiring Lion. I keep a copy of Service Center 2.3.2 around for this. Alternatively you may be able to open the installer with Pacifist and install each package manually ignoring the Service Center ones.
