Are you saying you can't even get it to install on vista?
Probably not. The latest NI installers demand Win7.

Yep. Confirmed. I tried to run the installer on Win XP and it displays a message telling it requires Windows 7. There is a thread somewhere around here with instructions on how to trump the system to allow Win 7 installers on XP (and if it allows XP, it will allow Vista, obviously).

I guess we should probably take a moment to make fun of the fact that this thing actually has controls labelled 'Punch' and 'Dirt'.
And that they are buttons no less.
One Knob is one thing, One Button is another.
Its worse than the controls on those fake hardware units that were around years ago.

But jokes aside, thanks NI. :)

Now I see why the installer is so large... it contains both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of the plugins in VST, RTAS, and AAX format.

Would you rather have "punchifier" and "dirtifier" then?

Am I right in thinking that NI allow you to install software on two computers?

What happens when you want to upgrade to Windows 7 based computer...

Do you just install it and ignore one of the previous versions, or do you have to uninstall say the setup on the oldest computer?

I like this, so far, on drum busses.. esp on hihats and claps/snares - it adds a bit of spatialness to the bus overall. it's fairly gentle though..

Works pretty nicely on bass too.. haven't even tried it on kick drums yet :hihi:

btw whenever I get a new audio effect plugin, I think of this Ernest commercial :hihi:

replace 'hushpuppies', 'slaw', 'batter', and 'dressing' with 'drums', 'bass', 'leads', 'vocals', and/or 'pads' :hihi:

No, I was wrong. Apparently the installer won't allow it

Again, I'm really sorry, I had no clue. I have NI stuff that is "windows 7/up only" that I've installed on my old vista machine

Wait a minute, I have the UAC disabled on all my win systems, could that be it?

Thank you Native Instruments for this wonderful tool. Merry Christmas!

Looks rather snazzy, looking forward to putting it through it's paces.

Thanks NI.
