Buy and use serial based software and ditch the rest. Problem solved.

In a few years machines will be so powerful that you will be able to use a virtual machine in a USB pen drive with all your software on it. Any retarded challenge/response copy protection will go to hell that way.

And you will be able to use on any computer any time forever.

OP your good boy/bad boy list us much too simplistic. It's your opinion, fine, but you certainly don't speak for me with this grand 'open letter'.
Yeah, but did you read his credentials? You gotta listen really.

I love when you can't tell if someone's trolling or not. (either way all good with me).tehlord wrote:

Well the point of an open letter is to represent the thoughts and opinions of its author is it not? So I assume that he is not intending to represent your opinions.tehlord wrote:OP your good boy/bad boy list us much too simplistic. Personally I agree with most of this, but the music industry is far from alone in practices that do not benefit the customer. Unfortunately the era of 'the customer is always right' seems to be long gone, and has been replaced by cynical marketing and shallow platitudes from 'customer service' representatives.
I applaud those few companies that really do listen though, and make a point of giving them my business over those that go their own way.

Roland didn't give me a second Juno to take on the road...... Same with Oberheim and my Matrix6......Don't get me started on Moog not supplying a second Rogue..........Sampleconstruct wrote:What was the problem, again?

Apple and Lannard the software good guys. Lol. Very meaningful.
Still, it's an open letter so that's good, much better than these closed letters. They're horrible. And as for simple forum posts - yuk. Much better to post a full bio.
