I would also send a postcard, but I just have Forver stamps and those can't be used for international post, and trying to get to our inconvenient post office this close to Christmas while I'm nursing a cold just sounds like a bad plan. So here's what I would have sent.

Don't you have stamp vending machines in the US? I don't remember the last time I went into a postal office, I always buy stamps from the machines that are located in various parts of the city. There is also an online stamping service, but I never tried that, no idea how it works...

2012's Christmas gift by WOK was quick to download after just sending a mail.
Almost 400 mails gave me the idea for 2013 to give away two plugins for a real christmas card or a charity donation.

Besides about 20 very nice Christmas cards 34 donations arrived that made a total of 250 € for charity.
