My votes (perhaps with the exception of one patch from Markus), didn't went to sounds in the dance type. Which ones are yours?

EDT = Ed Ten Eyck
sT = Satya Choudbury (aka satYaTunes)
RM = Rob Mitchell (aka Examigan)
GW = Vincent Bastiat (aka Karten/Ghostwave)

TUC = Coktor The Unshushable
IW = Ingo Weidner (aka Ingonator)
RR = Reinhard Reschner

Himalaya is mentioned in the credits but did not manage to submit his patches at the deadline due to other projects at the same time (i had a comparable problem so only quite few patches from me...). Aynway he took part in beta testing.
Hopefully Himalaya will release a Nemsis soundset ASAP as he seems to havve some great knowledge about FM and released a soundset for the SY77/SY99 already.

Some people maybe have not used the addtive editor for the waveforms yet. Currently i am using it "from scratch" again.
You culd edit partials beyond 16 but that's not as simple as 1-16. Some default waveforms like Saw or Square use more than 16 partials.

Herer is how to reset the partials to use the additive editor from scratch:

1.) set the filter amount for the desired waveform to maximum to see the full/unchanged waveform

2.) right-click on the waveform

3.) select "Additive Spectral editor" from the upper left of the drop-down menu

4.) for the desired waveform click on "Edit" at the right of the waveform/editor

5.) Select "Spectrum Sine" from the drop-down menu to create a basic Sine waveform (= only the first partial used)

6.) use the sliders for the 16 partials to create a new waveform

7.) use the filter knob to furher shape the waveform (if necessary)

8.) if necessary use the advanced features from the "Edit" drop-down menu (e.g. change the phase of the partials)

9.) to save a from waveform as a WAV file fisrst click on "Exit" (upper right of the waveforms), right-click on the waveform and select "Export Wave" from the top of the drop-down menu. Like in Rayblaster waveforms are also saved with the patch file (that's why the patch file are quite big sometimes).

10.) apply FM and/or Feedback (or other synthesis modes)

Thanks. :)

The patches of Mac are great indeed. IMO there are really many great great sounds in the huge factory library and not just for dance oriented stuff.

Due to another impoprtant beta test (+ sound design) for Waldorf Pulse 2 at the same time i did not have as much time for the factory sounds as i had planned at the beginning. I submitted 33 patches from which 12 were selected for the final factory content.
Hopefully the remaining patches could make it into a future soundset and if not maybe i could publish them for free at some point. Got the same "problem" with patches i had submitted for Saurus and Rayblaster in the past. At some point i Will decide what i could do with those.

Currently also working on new patches for Nemesis. At the moment using only the additive editor for the waveforms (see me explanations/tutorial in my last post). For my factory sounds i used waveforms i had created earlier (with e.g. DNR Wave Designer).

------------------------------------------------------

This was already posted some pages ago but no comment so far (removed that part from the original post):

Here are 5 audio demos that i had submitted for the official demo using my own presets and some presets from other sound designers (WAV files, each track around 30 seconds long):

Nemesis - Factory Demo 01
Nemesis - Factory Demo 02
Nemesis - Factory Demo 03
Nemesis - Factory Demo 04
Nemesis - Factory Demo 05

Everything including drums is from the Nemesis factory sounds.
The only external FX is the ValhalaVintageVerb Reverb, no compressor etc. applied.

--------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE:
Also had the time to listen to all demos/tracks from Mac and MaxSynths. Amazing stuff.
I am a fan of the sounds from MaxSynths for a while now, also for other synths like e.g. ElectraX, Rayblaster and Saurus

Oh yes, Raphael (Electric Himalaya) has indeed great knowledge of FM, as he showed the world with his amazing soundsets for Big Tick Rhino :love:
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Nice demos :)

Unfortunately, I'm a disaster at those short demos, I just can't seem to come up with anything decent :(

Anyway, here's another (long) nemesis-only track I made - internal arpeggiator, no external fx except during mastering:

I think only 4 of my presets are in the first release, but they added more of mine into a soundset coming out soon.

I'm glad that they put the one called RocketThrustRM in the initial release, thought it turned out pretty good.

Nemisis won't load any DX sysex will it?

Post

nemesis is really nice, am finding a place for it in my arsenal. but (imho) it's in deep need of more presets...lots more. i marked off faves this week (something i've never done before), and...there's not a lot.

for me, the potential is there, i just need MORE. so that's the word of the day: "MORE". bring it on programmers..!

As far as I know, lots of preset banks will be released soon by Tone2. As to the sysex question, I'm not sure, but I think it doesn't load dx sounds, as it's not a mere emulation, it's aimed at going beyond. fm is just one of its many synthesis methods, and even that is divided into different ways to obtain it.

Tone2 is releasing "ChartBreaker", a set of 200 presets for Nemesis..."soonish".

https://soundcloud.com/tone2-1/chartbreaker-for-nemesis

According to Tone2, "Packed with 200 quality sounds, ChartBreaker is the ideal companion for storming the charts with the next club banger."

But no, Nemesis won't load DX-series SYSEX data or patches.
