As regards the bouncing questions I don't know, we'll have to wait for a beta tester to chime in on that. I would have assumed that bitwig would render the section as you hear it but after hearing about that Live behavior that I was unaware of I have no clue.

i guess, sooner or later they will put group tracks in and then you could route your signal and the return fx into that group and just bounce it in place together..

hm, in cubase you would need a group track + an audio track to record on. Freeze would require to load it out of the folder into the session. Consolidate is the thing it will be i guess. Not sure, but it looks like you would save a track or a search in a folder, at least vs. cubase.

A proper bounce in place doesn't need another track... otherwise it is a bounce to another placetooneba wrote:Will it requires to use another track to do bounce in a place properly?....

Oh, I just realized that this is right there in the video at around 1:00Echoes in the Attic wrote:I'm wondering about the bounce in place too. Ableton does this in a smart way for clips. It automatically bounces 2 passes of the section or loop. The first for when the clip starts and the second for the looping so that it includes tails.
This is kind of one of those necessary functions that once it appears in a program just really shouldn't missing from any of them.

hi,
does anybody know how ghost/alias clips are handled? eg if i drag a session grid clip from the left to the arrange screen on the right and duplicate it, and then I update the notes in the session clip on the left... are all related clips on the right updated?
I know in Ableton this does not happen. once arrangement is recorded it is fixed as far as i know.
also if you make an edit to a single clip in the arrangement on the right in a set of duplicates, does it convert it to a real part? (rather than a ghost/alias).
From what i could tell on the instrument clips video, it looked like you could do either... make it a unique part, or update the original - when editing from the arrangement.
thanks for any info

Its still beta, a long way from release I think. I would expect an open beta, release candidate tests etc. I'm pretty sure we will here when a RC hits the streets, then you may be a month or so away from a public release! Maybe Namm in Jan 23rd for the open beta or at least a launch date announcement?trusampler wrote:11 more days till Jan.1st this product was mentioned it would be released by this year, well 2013 is almost gone, it's been a hell of a wait, I really hope it happens! lol

My guess is that there will not be an open beta...SLiC wrote:Its still beta, a long way from release I think.
