Well Im not sure what it is in Synplant that does it, but a certain percentage of all the sounds that come out of it have a very signature sound. Probably a certain filter in there that is doing it.
The quotes I used may have given the wrong impression.

Its not necessarily a bad sound at all. I love Synplant. But, it is distinctive in its uniqueness.

2:32-2:44 is the only spot in your YT demo where I hear it at all, but I immediately know that patch is Synplant.
Your sounds are still great at a second listen, and Im actually amazed they are coming from Synplant.

Ah I see where you're coming from now. It's definitely got some character for sure in its own way. I like it more as a random sketch pad...something to fool around with and come up with spur of the moment ideas for sounds in other synths on days when writers block hits. Especially pads lol. Synplant is a real pad machine, and I love how the cpu hit is so light.
