Can anyone recommend (preferably from personal experience) an extension cable (30 pin) that actually works for both data transmission and recharging? Male to female.
There are a LOT of cables out there but 99% are barely adequate for data let alone charging...
Thanks
EDIT: even one that is "solid" with data would be okay I suppose...need it for live shows so it has to be reliable.

Could you just get a longer version of your charge cable? I've got 2 that are about 6 ft long and work for charging and data just as the shorter cable does.

Yeah I get that you tried to help, and it was appreciated, but I did specify the connections required after all, hey?
Anyway I MacFixit to the rescue I found one there.

Hi, I bought an extention cable from Chilli from ebay some time ago, works wonderfully.
I did intensive research and the only safe bet is that the seller explicitly says that all 30 pins are connected. And these cables are usually not your $5 cables.
I think I paid $15 for mine or so.
CableJive is expensive $30 but is mostly confirmed working.
cheers

If you buy off eBay, make sure the add mentions that all 30 pins are connected. The ones that don't usually aren't. One reference is the picture: cables that carry all 30 connections are noticeably thicker than those that don't; but don't judge only on that because the pictures aren't always of the actual product. The only drag about eBay is that most of the cheap stuff comes from China and can take 4-8 weeks to get to you...
