Hello!

im using an EDIROL PCR-50
and an UC-33e controller.

i am using these with FLStudio

But, i can only use one at a time, unfourtunatly.

Can i go around this? i want to be able to use both the Edirol pcr-50 and the uc-33 simultaniously
within FLstudio

(im not a midi wiz... btw)

if this isn't possible, are there any other hosts that can do this? with the same controlling abilities that FLstudio offers? (virtualy any knob or any message can be controlled easy as hell)
besides FL, neither cubase or logic can offer this type of VST controlling ability. and you can only (as far as i know) control one synth or effect at a time.

Am i to get a new host?
or use one of those uh, VSTi-VSTHosts like energyXT that i've read a bit about but not tried yet
or just give up on the whole thing and go hardware?

having handson control on every parameter available is UTTERLY important to me. i dont make the most normal of music, and im very "live".

Thanks!

hmm
is it that you dont know any answer to this, or is it that im stupid? :)

I don't use FL, but does your midi interface have more than 1 port? Sonar can handle several midi ports/channels (as allowed by WinXP).

not sure how to use two controllers at once myself
but rather than giving it all up and going hardware have you thought about the novation remote25
google it and im sure you will find its all you need knobs and keys wise
and before you say anything about the 25 keys theyer doing larger version to be released soon
:ud:

Try connecting the Midi Out of the Evolution UC-33 to the Midi In of the Edirol PCR-50 with a standard Midi cable (they are cheap and can be handy!) Hopefully the Mini In socket will also work as a Midi Thru.

If it does also act as Midi Thru then for the host all midi data seems to come from one controller, and you will be happy.

After reading the manual of the Evolution UC-33 you better not try it the other way round, because that device handles the Midi In as a seperate port.

Isn't there any way to split incoming MIDI signals per physical MIDI in or per MIDI channel in Fruity Loops? In case there isn't I must say that it's rather lame... it's one of the most basic functionalities a sequencer should offer.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Hi again,

I had a look at the specifications of that Edirol keyboard again, and it looks like it will NOT function as a midi thru for your UC-33.

Next possibility you can try is installing Midi Yoke (available at www.midiox.com) which is a free virtual Midi patch bay.

Try to set it up so both your controller outputs are connected to input of virtual port 1, and set up your host input to listen to MidiYoke output port 1.

This way MidiYoke will merge the two data streams for you... in theory (haven't tried it myself)

Enjoy!!
