Am I right in thinking Ivory 1 should facilitate the use of the soft pedal?
I've read it can. On trying to trigger this, not with a pedal but hyper drawing channel 69 (I think off the top of my head), but don't seem to get any change.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you turned on (loaded) the soft pedal samples? If I recall, there is a button on the main interface screen (I have Ivory II now, so I don't quite remember the button location in Ivory I).
And, MIDI continuous Controller number 67 is the soft pedal controller.

Soft Pedal Samples can be turned off in Ivory 1 as you can in Ivory II. BTW, if you own Ivory Grand Pianos 1, there is an upgrade path to Ivory Grand Pianos II for a discounted price. All kinds of new features in the upgrade such as Sympathetic String Resonance, up to 18 velocity layers as opposed to 10 in version 1.5, lid position options, pedal noise, timbre shift, and more.
The upgrade can be purchased here: http://www.ilio.com/products/synthogy-i ... oryupgrade
