Professionals that get like 100k or more a year. If they're a DJ, they make 2-3k a night(!), always have the latest gear, smoke and drink (or even worse: do drugs). Yet they can not affort a synth that is 140EUR (excl. VAT, you even get the VAT back if you do your taxes in Europe!).

Well, they need the money for a big sport car to impress the girls and while cruising around, they don't care about the software developers...

It's the most famous synth and dead easy to use. Choose a preset, and you're good to go. Now all you have to do is copying the mainstream songs! Instant success!

It just smacks a lot more of 'genius marketing' than it does 'kids wanting toys' is what Im saying...
Dont most kids want to play with the 'just-released', and 'most expensive' toy? Why are they going for a years-old, inexpensive, dead synth?
And why isnt anyone else getting caught with anything else?

In most interviews of famous mainstream DJs kids read that they're using Sylenth. So they want to use Sylenth, too...

(We admit that some DJs are even using Massive and some nerds like Martin Solveig might be using Synthmaster... )

It's logical. Most famous synth that happens to have a clearly visible "license plate"... They won't click on "about" button all of the sudden in other software. ...it would be interesting to see it though.

You forgot one: "Which synth can replace Sylenth". The answer of course being none of them, or all of them, depending on what it is you like about Sylenth.
