OK it's loading for me in Logic 9. Bit hard to save presets though as the Z position of the save as dialogue appears behind the synth gui
The file browser is weird - can't see how to browse to my samples folder on a USB drive

File -> newpdxindy wrote: The cheat sheet helps a bit and the tutorial more... Is there an init patch or button to set everything to default?
or Presetbrowser -> double click on Empty
I'll look into those issues. Do any other dialogs come up behind the UI? How about Audio -> quality options?aMUSEd wrote:OK it's loading for me in Logic 9. Bit hard to save presets though as the Z position of the save as dialogue appears behind the synth gui

OK, good and bad news. Installed and validated under Logic Pro 9, and also under MainStage 3 (basically the same engine as Logic Pro X), under Mavericks. Works as expected inside those. Plays and I am able to change presets.DavenH wrote:Thank you fmr. For various reasons, mostly because I like money, there's a 10$ upgrade price to a dual license. Aren't you able to view the forum as a guest? I can log out and still see the post. Either way I'll pm you the key.fmr wrote:I have a mac running Mavericks, with Logic Pro 9. If that fits you, what is the serial (I am not in the forum). You can PM me, if you want.
BTW - Aren't registered users entitled to a mac version too?
Also tested with RAX (my virtual instruments tester in Mac OS X) and the AU validated and worked fine. VST, however crashed (but RAX is prone to crashes with VST instruments, so...)
Works inside Cubase 7.0.5 too. However, when I tried to change sounds using the track inspector (patches published there, which is great), the GUI freezed, and it also freezed Cubase. Definitely, there are issues with VST, needing further testing.
Will try to test more. I will not apply for the patches contest, since I am still not that much familiar with Cycle, have other things in hands right now, and I already have a license, after all
But will give it further testing. Anything specific, please let me know.
AU seems to work just fine inside the latest OS. Just one question: Why did you choose to install in the User folders (both Applications and Library), instead of the system folders?

No - so far just saveDavenH wrote:File -> newpdxindy wrote: The cheat sheet helps a bit and the tutorial more... Is there an init patch or button to set everything to default?

Would be good if it used standard OSX file browser functions

My system: iMac i7, OSX 10.6.8
Install went fine, I used the serial from the forums. It loads and operates in the following hosts, AU & VST.
Reaper v4.57
Live 8.28
Studio One 2.6.x
1. Got repetitive cpu spikes in S1. More on this later.
2. I found the installation into the user folder a bit odd. This plugin is the first to install into that location. I'd prefer an installation into the MacHD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins folder.
3. My resolution is 2560x1440 on my 27" and that interface takes up about 70%-80% of the real estate on my screen. I'm not complaining really but... What are the dimensions for the gui?
Will check for bugs later tonight.
Edit #3. Nevermind I found the button in the upper right hand corner for adjusting the gui size. Its nice to be able to work with full screen as well. Nice touch.

will this overwrite the old version or create a 2nd version because that one seems to work fine on my system.

Interesting - can you disable the delay (if applicable) and check again? I thought I removed all chance of denormals but that's what it sounds like.
The installer locations are pretty flexible - you want to install there, go ahead.2. I found the installation into the user folder a bit odd. This plugin is the first to install into that location. I'd prefer an installation into the MacHD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins folder.
I'm interested in the performance at that resolution. I suspect editing gets slow at full screen?3. My resolution is 2560x1440 on my 27" and that interface takes up about 70%-80% of the real estate on my screen. I'm not complaining really but... What are the dimensions for the gui?
Yes it will overwrite. The previous beta AUs didn't even load in logic... but apart from that there's not a big difference.yessongs wrote:will this overwrite the old version or create a 2nd version because that one seems to work fine on my system.

I didn't notice any difference in performance at any resolution. Its always very responsive.DavenH wrote:I'm interested in the performance at that resolution. A lot of the peaks in the 2D waveform display extend beyond the window vertically (for instance presets ThinLead2 & Tabla). Sliding the bar on the side does not bring them into view neither does using the scroll wheel on the mouse. Is this normal?

Yes that's quite normal. Cycle doesn't compress the sound at all and sometimes there are peaks. Lowering the volume slider will fix.UncleAge wrote:A lot of the peaks in the 2D waveform display extend beyond the window vertically (for instance presets ThinLead2 & Tabla). I'm finding the vertex editing very fiddly - Freehand drawing never seems to end up with the shape I draw unless it's a very simple one - if I draw smooth wavy lines for example it changes to jagged lines when I stop drawing.

OK don't know what I have done - was clicking round the preset browser trying different options and now I can't find any of the presets by name - instead there is a list of number strings and author is all "petbe". How do I get back to the factory presets and what are these?
Also it doesn't seem to be saving ratings and it would be useful to show which preset is being played in the browser instead of the highlighted preset just being the top one when you reopen the browser.

Ok I'll be making improvements on the freehand drawing in incremental updates.
Also what happened is an unfortunate flub on my part... since you're using a non-registered key (legitimately in this case) it thought you were a baddie, sorry
I totally forgot about that.
Just now putting yours and the beta key on the whitelist so this doesn't happen again.
Ratings do save I believe, but for factory presets, not across installs at present. The next installer with an actual update will not overwrite the ratings though.

Do you mean to say the garbled preset names is copy protection? Strange approach. If so how do I get the correct names back?
It seems one of my ratings has been saved but not the others - do I need to resave the patch when I rate it?
