Hi, I would like to ask a question about SQ01, a sequencer made by Yamaha (I assume, as it ships with Motif products). I would ask on a Motif forum, because they are more likely to know about it, but I trust your (speaking to all of K-v-R here) opinion much more than I trust the opinions of those unknown personages, who are not sequencer experts anyway, most likely.
Anyway, I just want to know... is it a viable sequencer? I don't think there's a demo or anything, and I haven't been able to find any information. I mean, obviously it's not going to be a brilliant FL, Sonar, or energyXT, (etc), but it should have good Audio and MIDI capabilities, since it's designed to work with the Motif. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about the features/quality of SQ01? I *think* it has VST support, but I'm not sure; anyway, thanks!
SQ01? (Yamaha sequencer)

I have installed it, after my Motif purchase, for a short time to see how it works (as you said, it comes on a CD with the Motif). I was not to patient with it, but as far as I remember it has a limited number of audio tracks (4 or
. I don't see why would you consider this program without having the Motif. Having the Motif or not doesn't make a difference, but this sequencer is IMO just a better option for sequencing, instead of using the sequencer from the Motif. It is not a replacement for Cubase or Sonar.

Ok =( thanks, mojkarma! I would plan on having the Motif =D despite it being so expensive... anyway, 4 or 8 audio tracks? =(. I guess I'll have to make do with FL's audio, if SQ01 is really not that great an option.
