Where I work we have a couple of small interview rooms. Very "echo-y". Just bare bricks, about 6' x 6" and quite high.
I was wondering what materials may be used as a diy approach to attach to the walls.
Probably will need to be wall fixed rather than free standing. I doubt there is much in the city's budget to spend much. Gluing foam would not work, I work for a municipality and it would have to be somewhat decorative.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Fibreglass insulation slab (Dow Corning) 1inch thick set between timber battons. Covering up to you as long as it's fire retardant and permeable such as a vapour cloth used in construction or landscaping.
Easier though would be heavy drapes (again, fire proof material) hung around the wall). That should do it for voice recording. Use twice as much width of material as the wall so they hang pleated rather than flat. An advantage is they can be opened to expose the flat walls to make the acoustic a bit more "live" - because people don't like talking in a dead acoustic.
