Well, I am an occasional user of the older HighLife which appears to be the one pictured - with the ability to load a VST. It was particularly useful for loading the odd VSTi that would only load as effects in FLStudio ! Is this feature going to be re-instated or is it gone for good ?
Regardless of the outcome, I will have a good look at this version anyway.

Yes, VST hosting / sampling should be available on release 1.3. Thumbnail has been updated by the way, thanks for pointing up.

Okey dokey, thanks for the info.

You're welcome :) There are other important things to do right now before VST hosting (better workflow, file management, wave editing, etc.). I hope we can get enough support from the people and make it happen.

wasn't this sampler freeware at one point? a little confused, maybe another product?

I purchased the original.
Then I think it became freeware.
Then that version became EOL (end of line).
I've since purchased the newer version you see on display here.

It's a bit confusing for sure.

BTW: I only see HighLife 1.2.2 in my account.

ok, thanks, I downloaded it when it was free, don't think I ever used it, but had some designs on using it to convert some softsynths to samples at some point... the new version doesn't do the auto sampling of VST's anymore, apparently. good luck with the new version, just curious, because I know I have it in my old 32 bit plugin folder.

used it once it's alot to mess with when it comes to sound

HighLife was free a few months ago then they updated it so it became a commercial software, if you still want the freeware version you have to search the net, maybe www.vst4all.com might have it but i remember when they had discounted it, i was mad cause i wanted it even though i didn't know what it did, i watched this crappy tutorial that showed you can sample vst's and export the samples as a SFZ so i started using it a couple of months back before they made it a payware again, it has seen a few price changes in the last year and so did THRILLME which use to be 20 euros not it's 49 euros, i think it's strange when they change something, i got phantom a year ago and it does not import tx81z presets but if you download some online and import them you can have a similar sound, but it's supported for dx21 presets, either that or my tx81z syx i took from my 2 tx81z's are corrupt.

I was looking at HL - Seems to have great potential. I don't mind paying for it, as I'd like a quick working sampler a kin to Logics. I use the Motu for bigger jobs.

Sadly, I won't be buying it. This statement scares me a little... Not much point in shelling out, if it's not going to be updated until you get the support.

Hope it works out.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

So can this actually sample the audio stream or just plugins loaded into it? Is there a limit on length of sample recording, does it have drag and drop into the host of sampled audio?

Post

There will be SF2 support for the PC version?
