BERFAB - The "Play" tab on the interface does switch from showing the rendering of the instrument to what I'd call the "mini mixer" that is similar to the main part of the current SampleTank GUI with the list of loaded instruments, MIDI channels, level meters, etc but I know that still isn't what you were after (since the "Edit" tab is separate and has the deeper functionality there) but I figured I'd still point that out as it isn't likely clear at this time. It goes by quickly in the video so it is probably better to show a screenshot like so:

EDIT - That's for patterns, but you get the gist of it. For instruments you'd see the level indicated to the right where transpose/quantize is in the above, etc.

I don't think it is necessarily a question of bad samples, but, rather, a question of redundant samples.

Again, I am on the fence. IKM, make me a deal I can't refuse! :hyper:

Peter wrote this over at GearSlutz...
Many are (150K on Facebook for example) but for others there seems to be a tiny bit of conversation on some audio forum I've heard of... can't quite remember the name but it is kind of bawdy. ;)
that is pretty funny... just wondering what "audio forum" is he talking about!!!

Post

Yes, some audio forums have a bawdy name as referenced. Thought it was pretty obvious (and since it was made directly ON said forum where most seem to not possibly care less about THIS one I wouldn't bother wasting the reference in that post). Guess it went over some heads...

When will I be able to use my ST 2.5 stuff (SampleTron, Sonik Synth, etc) in Logic again???

Ah, a real question/comment/concern, thank you. If you are not using the available 3rd party bridge that seems to be working for Logic Pro X users (and I'd understand since it is not free and not budget-friendly to some) it will be a little more time. I'll be able to share a more specific date as soon as I can, but at this time the rep on the Guitar Center NAMM video stated March/April and we'll be shooting for that but I'd like to get a more concrete date for you all.

all jokes aside... what does the project plan release date indicate?

A date that as stated above is not disclosed to you at this time. Sorry it wasn't clear enough in the quote above.

Any news on whether ST3 will be able to load combis from 2.5?
If not it would be nice if the various factory combis from 2.5, Miroslav etc could be made available in ST3 format.

They told me the samples will all be new and not redundant.

OK, so I see there are many that comment about a "player" version of just the engine to use only for the previous libraries in 64 bit environments. If that were the case, how much would you expect it to cost?

Post

You gotta admit it's funny though -

IK: ST's going to be in your hands before 2014 (well, and 2013 before, and 2012 before that...)

IK in November 2013: We'll show it at NAMM (true but it's still not ready)

IK at NAMM: We've made it and here it is, but we can't really say when it's going to be available for purchase and we can't really say yet how much it's going to cost.

Funny.

The not so funny part is, I'm still waiting for it to be released, because I can't use 2.5 libraries with jBridge without random crashes. Had I known better...
