Pretty much the only thing missing in my arsenal at the moment.

So many plugins, so little time...

I was thinking about the Arturia Beatstep too... pretty tempting price, and probably a fun toy.

Post

The Beatstep seems to be a no brainer. I think it's going to be something I'll pick up later in the year. What I'm really interested in the Sub 37. Don't really need it, but it looks like something that might be really nice to have... that and a P12. Sub37, P12, and a nice modular would be super cool to have.
Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

BeatStep.... a couple of audio interfaces caught my eye, will be looking into those. Apart from that, it was a bit dull.

The new Moog looks great. As does the new Elektron Box. Who knows.

Think I'm going to sell my Voyager and pick up the Sub 37. That thing looks like everything an awesome, modern, fully featured analog synth should be in 2014.

Built in overdrive and feedback + arp/sequencer + advanced LOOPING ENVELOPES. WOW.

Post

I still need monitor stands and 8" or 10" monitors first before I buy any other gear.

Post

I picked up a booklet of every product that really interested me. (Which the final count of them was one).
Alesis VI-61 is the one worth the wait for (end of Q2?) That renews a little interest in the Vortex again although I really don't need a live performance board anymore. I like that it is a three octave though. Akai comes second depending on what their 88 looks like (they showed none of those). The little microphone stands that are less than a half inch in diameter with a 5-6 inch base is something I'm watching now. With Korg, the only thing I like of theirs I have and Roland really dropped off the edge of anything worth having to me at all. In drum triggering, which is not new but I got to try them out, Yamaha had become my choice in feel, sound, and playability.

Nektar & Behringer felt cheap. No go from me there. Might bump myself into upgrading my RX3 though after spending some time with the Izotope guy going through it. IK-ST3? I make no promise until it's actually on the market. I too, was not so impressed with NAMM as I used to be. Innovation has become more subtle and sublime and it can be hard to really see with all the glitz and glammer of automated, motorized, appeal (with a free totebag).
Plus I'm older and the market is now geared to a less traditional form and definition of 'musician'.
I'm sure it's good stuff, but I don't seem to need the majority of it.

Post

What I have bought in the last month, that is new for me (and even slightly automated) was
IKM's Arc 5
Blue Cat's PatchWork.

And I'm going through the philosophical question of "To Melodyne, or not to Melodyne".
Maybe this year's releases will catch up to me next year. :)

Post

Will buy- beatstep (a fun toy and a thank you to Arturia for the free spark 2 update)
Considering moog sub 37.
May take up the ST3 upgrade if it's cheap (can't say I need it)

Still waiting for that perfect 88 note controller keyboard- if Beringer had built their new x8 controller in to a 4 zone 88 note keyboard with a 4x4 drum pad they would have had a sale! I have a grand for the first company that comes up with a clutter clearing uber controller with 88 keys!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Post

BeatStep for me too ... I wonder how long until they're actually available. May have to pre-order. Sub37 looks very nice to me. Will need to consider if I really need it ;)
