As was announced at NAMM, the entire AIR instrument collection has been updated with new features including 64bit AAX support with VST/AU support forthcoming. However, to have all 7 instruments now for only $299 is great news.
I just purchased the bundle and, after a lengthy download process, i must say the amount of quality content at that price point is simply staggering. I know some may feel that these VIs are getting a little long-in-the-tooth but with the new updates they are just as effective and great sounding today as they have ever been.
However, I'm sad to see that they dropped the iLok protection in place of the Pace soft-license.

Yes, I would love to have these but because they are not compatible with my hosts presently I don't want to run the risk they never (may not) be and if they do there may be an additional charge.
Pace is the killer for me though TBH.
Good to know this though, thanks!
Happy Musiking!

Wait does it mean you can't put them on ilok at all?careyletendre wrote:As was announced at NAMM, the entire AIR instrument collection has been updated with new features including 64bit AAX support with VST/AU support forthcoming. However, to have all 7 instruments now for only $299 is great news.

Also, with AIR, if you need help beyond installation you have to pay for a support code.

That's disappointing. It sounds like they learned a lot from Avid.re_mute wrote:Also, with AIR, if you need help beyond installation you have to pay for a support code.

Yup. Pro Tools I get, for post work etc it's hard to beat; but why people keep buying AIR stuff when there are so many better companies with better products is baffling.

Everyone talks about Pace, but can someone explain why it's so disliked, please?

I have the old collection, so, I was entitled to upgrade to the new version (and get the new instruments), for 99,00 (don't know if it was dollars or euros, but I think it was euros). After a painful process of having to send a screen capture of my iLok with the licenses (purchased yet from Avid), I received a discount code.
When I logged it to the store to make the purchase, I was surprised with a final price that raised by like 20,00 euros, this in psite of having a VAT ID which would exempt me from paying any taxes.
I enquires what was hat difference about, and I still waiting for tha answer. This doesn't give me much confidence, and besides, I am not into Pro Tools that much (the Avid business model sucks, IMO).

I second that. Top notch stuff, on par with the best vst stuff. But i'm pissed off by the new protection scheme.careyletendre wrote:Well i am one of 'those people' and i have no regret.re_mute wrote:

What i didn't manage to understand from their site and facebook page is if the whole package will be available as VST/AU or only Hybrid 3 (except from obviously Loom And Vacuum Pro that were already vst).
I would be really interested in trying Transfuser. Cool concept. Seems like a lot of fun!

Loom and Vacuum Pro are already VST/AU/RTAS/AAX and the rest will be released in the near future.Marquez-IT wrote:What i didn't manage to understand from their site and facebook page is if the whole package will be available as VST/AU or only Hybrid 3 (plus obviously Loom And Vacuum Pro that were already vst).
