This is already available with VSTi plugins, has been for over a year (?), just its only available as a host

The current version is like a slow hog in a mud pit compared to other hosts
The CPU usage certainly is a mess at the moment :hihi:
One instance of Synth1 really shouldn't use up to 30%, even on my old machine :hihi:

However, that's basically the only thing that doesn't really work at the moment here (well, it makes it unusable).
All my plugins, apart from Pro53, were recognized without problems and load perfectly :)

Definitelly a very cool product!
I may even have to visit the IL forum for the first time to help to report some bugs to get this thing going :)

Cheers

The Minihost or the Minihost Modular? They always had a modified Minihost as wrapper...

Or is this the old Minihost just with a nicer GUI?

It's more like a pimped version of patcher afaik.

Looks cool - midi and automation recording are a bonus, can it record straight to audio too?

I've been looking for a more advanced dedicated VST host. I've found a few more primitive one but this look like a great step forward!

I hope it's reasonably priced!

Anyone getting the 64-bit VST to load?

Are you using the 64 Bit version?

Please report bugs here...

This looks really useful. I can imagine setting up specific FX or instrument chains once in this, and then simply calling them up as a single VST in whatever DAW I happen to be working in.

Wait, wait, wait... a powerful modular utility like this, with a chance to see a drastic enhancement during and post beta... for free? Is there something I don't get?

Even Metaplugin costs 49USD and is somewhat halted in terms of development. But here, we see a possible game changer with all bells and whistles... for free? Unbelievable to me. But very generous.

Are there chances to see the following in future updates?
  • Oversampling
  • Feedback routing
  • VST3 support
  • custom GUI for "containers" (in the video, it's called "graph modules"), no indication for that in the manual
  • Multi input/output for both the Minihost, containers and loaded plugins (individual channel support: i.e. Toneboosters EBU Loudness uses 6 ins/outs, most nowaday compressors use a stereo in and one channel for sidechain in, but stereo out, etc), the manual hints at the possibility (SliceX has several outputs)
  • PDC
  • Host Sync (possible according to manual)
That, and an extreme low CPU overhead, then maybe post a link where we people can donate you for further development and I'm game. Because from first glance (didn't have the chance to test it yet), it seems to be "the" combination of MUX, Metaplugin and Bidule I've been looking for. Add to that the fact that it's free, and I'm a happy engineer.

Now I'm only hoping that it's working flawlessly in Cubase and Wavelab.

EDIT:
And I hope that Effector will be outsourced in the near future as well!

Sorry if this is a terribly dumb question but... where is the link to download? I saw a link to a page that describes it, but there is no link to download there. Am I missing something?
