One instance of Synth1 really shouldn't use up to 30%, even on my old machine :hihi:
What latency do you have set in Minihost vs your other DAW?

Quite a lot higher actually.

I've set Cubase to 192 samples and Minihost to 512 samples, that doesn't really seem to make a difference though. I think this may be graphics related, as the problems increase when I make the Minihost GUI bigger.
I'm currently using crappy onboard sound with Asio 4 All and crappy onboard graphic.

I'll post more detailed info on the IL forum later.

Cheers

Indeed, it's normal Windows uninstall program procedure.

Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button.
Clicking Control Panel
Click Programs,
and then click Programs and Features.

Select IL Minihost Modular, and then click Uninstall.

Mac anytime soon?

Argh.

It's an instrument plugin, so there are restrictions in many hosts about how it's set up. That can be overcome, but it's a loss of convenience over other chainers.

It doesn't wrap effects in a wet/dry control the way FL Studio does, which is almost the ONLY feature I want in an FX chainer.

Post

Man, I really need some time taking a closer look. But are you saying that Minihost Modular can not be loaded as VST Plugin, only as "instrument"?

Which would render the usability pretty much useless to me (looking for a FX chainer, not an instrument chainer).

Why not try yourself in your host? I can load it as effect.

You can load yourself as effect? Are you a modular man? :o

How can one access the internal presets of a VST/VSTi ?
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

A few questions...

1. Is there a way to scan and "hold" more than one plugin directory? I have some of my plugin dll's split up.

2. Below you can see it reporting "Crashed" for the Mach 5 x64 plug in S1, is that just a beta compatibility bug?

3. I'm also not fully understanding the output (maybe RTFM :)), but the output of the minihost from inside S1 appears to bypass the master bus and I don't see a way to change that.

Edit: Ignore #3, that was apparently just the test tone.

Thanks. Great free tool btw, thanks.

I have the distinct feeling that I'm gonna like this thing a lot. :)

This looks rather like another souped up version of the Juce Minihost (like Metaplugin and Pedalboard)

But with more features than Metaplugin - and free, aMUSEd.

Will test later that night.
