what's the average breeding period of a silver back gorilla?
Females reach breeding age at about 10 years old. They typically bear young every four to five years, giving birth after a gestation period of eight to nine months.

When i tried Project 5 a while ago it almost killed my computer even though it did´nt sound all that good. So i hope they have optimized this one better.
P5 isn't as hungry as people think...The thing is that originally she seemed so...I think it had something to do with the synths having all outs enabled by default...that's changed in 1.5 so that's no longer an issue...

No, it's not...I worked in a bakery once. The baker made everything from scratch...He had to make custard for some of the doughnuts...He had to adjust portions based on season and recent demand...The square root of custard is inversely proportional to the radius of the thigh of the right leg of the animal that had to die for the gelatin used all over the cube root of the volume of its left testicle/ovary extruded...through a pore...to the power of N...

I got very long hair so I doubt anything from cakewalk would be up to the job, however I asked a hair stylist how to mange my hair. She said put a little moose in it... :? Well I tried, but first I'm almost 45 and the little ones are to damn fast to catch, and an adult moose is just too damn mean...especially when you try put their babies your hair. Anyhow it's been years since I went to a hair stylist and well it wil be years before I go back. First I've got get out of traction and recover from having moose antlers removed from my...uh well nevermind... :D

hi all...first post here...

got kinetic over the weekend...very nice...much easier than project 5...was up and editing immediately (project 5 took a session or two)...will generally start in kinetic and move to 5 from now on...

kind of a side question, but: anybody see a real good reason to own kinetic, project 5, and sonar 3 (if you already have cubase sx and live 3)?

thanks for any answers...

Hi, aaastronomer - I have the Cakewalk trinity - in large part because I still haven't figured out how to program my own drum parts (sigh) and I have looked for anything that can help me slice dice and recombine drum loops and samples. I don't do a lot of work with instrument loops, only because I prefer to try to play "live."

I've been having a blast with kinetic and Sonar. On the other hand, I can see where kinetic might only get me so far. I never really "grasped" P5 but I can see how it might make a great intermediate tool. So kinetic has rekindled my desire to launch an assault on learning P5 again.

What the heck is up with Kinetic and ReWire. No matter what audio card, no matter what driver this damn thing will not play nice with Live or Cubase SX. I've tried it all, been around the web and no one seems to be able to figure this one out. Has anyone else had this experience? I'm using a M-Audio Firewire 410 and and Echo Indigo io pcmcia card. Both produce the same results with their ASIO drivers, ASIO4ALL driver and the Direct X Driver: crackels, hisses and general nastiness.

dont suppose you know if the midi output thing that was written for project 5 works for this ?
Most likely not, since it won't use DXI or VSTI other than the Roland GrooveSynth and PSYN.

If you use Sonar, you can get the Kinetic update from Cakewalk's site and use the GrooveSynth directly in Sonar, as well as P5 and Kinetic. You still have to ReWire for any other host (including Cakewalk Home Studio Version 2).

For what it's worth, I have Kinetic, Sonar (2.2 at the moment, + DirectIXer) and FLStudio. If I didn't have FLS, I'd have probably gotten P5 assuming I had enough PC to run it on.

Is your pc up to snuff? I've found the same types of sound problems occur when I load up too many synths or too many effects, when my latency is real low.

...for the advice, I'll try it. It might be-there's a lot of plug-in's in there...

But still, even when rewired, Kinetic won't play when I start playing the host sequencer. That just seems weird.
