How can I record drums realtime in Cubase SE via the RMIV without using the drum editor? I thought I would be able to use it just like any hardware based drum machine, but I can't seem to do this. I can hear the sounds being generated, but nothing gets recorded when I hit the pads during record...also get no signal on the midi track. However, I can use the drum editor and output it to the RMIV, but this would take me forever. Please help!!

Some type of midi controller keyboard I think is easiest. I couldn't imagine clicking my way to input a drum beat.

Actually, that was my next question. I also have a Korg microKontrol that I haven't been able to figure out either. I figured I would figure out the RMIV first! Maybe I shouldg o back to my SR16 and Porta06

Anything worth doing is worth investing the time to learn it. Everything has a learning curve. Anyway, you'll need a MIDI input on your sound card, and connect it to your midi output on your Korg Microcontrol.
